Femme Fatale Cosmetics Hella Holo Customs Exclusives - Swatches & Review

Thursday, 25 May 2017

I am sooooo close to swatching all of the Femme Fatale Cosmetics polishes that I purchased last year.  I have one more collection and a random exclusive polish and that is another box ticked!  I love making lists and being able to mark things off.  Anyway, today I have the three Hella Holo Custom exclusive polishes that were released last year (I want to say it was earlier in the year but really I have no clue).  While there is only three polishes is post is definitely on the picture heavy side of things.

Cry Of The Red Sky is green-grey forest base, red overlay and red shimmers, scattered holo flakes and linear holo.  I think this is a really nice colour, and the formula is pretty good.  It applies evenly and is opaque in three coats.

Iridial is described as milky storm-grey base filled with silver holo microglitter in various sizes, green/red/gold crystalline flakes (that have colour-shifts) plus fine red sparkles and fine red flakes.  This one is really sheer.  I don't even think it's possible to build it up to be opaque.  I did one coat over white, but I think I should have used this over a darker base.

Unicorn Treasure Trove is described as lavender holo base with gold sparkles, fine gold flakes, silver holo microglitter and fine holo gold microglitter.  I think this one is really pretty and easy to use.  My swatch shows three coats.

Overall I like these three polishes but I don't love them.  My personal favourites of these are Cry Of The Red Sky and Unicorn Treasure Trove.

Did you pick up any of these polishes when they were available?

  1. Ooh these are gorgeous and I love Iridial over white, although I'm sure the flakies would have popped better over a darker base like you suggested. Your swatches are gorgeous and I love the extra shots of polish in this post.

    1. Thanks Vicky. I definitely think Iridial would have been so much better over a darker base. I'll have to break it out and test it again :)
