The Digit-al Dozen Does Decades: Day One: 1920s

Monday 9 January 2017

I'm back with the first week of Digit-al Dozen manis for this year.  I'm so excited to be continuing on with this group.  All of the girls are fantastic, so welcoming, supportive and OMG soooooo talented!  I really love not only participating in the group but also seeing what everyone comes up with for each of the themes.  Some of the themes that have been set for this year and definitely going to be challenging me.  I'm actually quite nervous, but I'm sure I will make it through.  Anyway, January's theme is Decades.  Sounds easy enough, right?

After so much back and forth I managed to pick with decades I will be doing (or attempting lol) and now working out what to do for each.  I thought to kick me off I'll go with an easy option - the 1920s.  Why?  Because I have an Art Deco plate so it was really a no brainer.  For this mani I used Powder Perfect's Abydos as my base and then stamped the image from Powder Perfect's Art Deco 01 plate using their Black Stamping Polish.

This mani is seriously so sparkly.  I feel like I should wear more glitter!

Don't forget to check out the other manis the girls in the Digit-al Dozen have done.

  1. You picked such a perfect decade to start and this mani is amazing! Can you image what the ladies back then would have thought about our nails now? Can't wait to see more of your decade designs!

    1. Thank you. You may be right about that. A lot of the challenges I do have a good balance for me - some prompts are really hard for me, while others are a little easier. They are definitely fun :)

    1. Thanks Amanda. I love this combo too. I definitely agree that there are some very interesting prompts coming up. As much as I am worried about what I am going to do for them, I'm really excited to see which direction everyone else takes them.
