Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Luxe Holiday Collection - Swatches & Review

Thursday 22 December 2016

Late last week I came home to a lovely package hanging out of my letter box.  Literally hanging out of my letterbox because the postie couldn't shove it in far enough (the package was too wide for the slot).  After wrestling it out, I saw that it was a surprise package with the new Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Luxe Holiday Collection.  How lucky am I?  The Luxe Holiday Collection features two new shades as well as four duo packs which includes one existing shade and the Miracle Gel Top Coat.  The duo packs (which I don't have pictures off as my boxes were completely damaged by the postie) have a little spot that says to and from so they make for a great little present (especially if you are after a last minute present).  Today I have five of the six shades to share with you.

Currant-ly Shopping is a purple-tinted greige creme.  This is one of the new limited edition shades for this collection.  I found the formula was great and easy to use.  It does apply darker than it looks in the bottle but it is a really nice colour.  My swatch shows two coats.

Dig Fig is a burgundy creme.  This is an exisiting shade, however is available in a limited edition duo pack.  This colour is definitely great for the cooler months.  The formula is easy to use, however it is really hard to clean up so I definitely recommend a careful application.  I used two coats for my swatch.

Plush Blush is described as an iridescent powder pink and is available in the limited edition duo pack.  I found this one to be quite sheer.  If you know me you will know that I don't like visible nail lines so I layered this one over a white base.  I really like the colour over white.  It's nice and fresh looking.  I used two coats over white.

Snowglow is described as a tinsel-tinged white that adds a hint of sparkle to the nails.  This is one of the new limited edition shades.  Now as you can probably guess from this description this is another really sheer polish.  That being said, it's great for layering over a base colour.  I swatched it over Wine Stock as well as a white base.  I personally love it over the white base.  Both of my swatches are one coat over the base colour.

Wine Stock is described as a bold, bordeaux shade.  This one applies unevenly and needed three coats to even out.  My swatch shows three coats.

I think there is some great holiday shades in this collection, especially for those who celebrate Christmas in Winter.  My personal picks from this collection are Currant-ly Shopping and Snowglow.

The Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Luxe Holiday Collection is available now from Priceline, Princeline Pharmacies, Target, Terry White Chemists, Chemist Warehouse and independent pharmacies nationally.

    1. Snowglow is so pretty! I think it looks much prettier in person than in my pics. My camera freaked out a little.
