Lina Nail Art Supplies 4 Seasons - Winter 02 Stamping Plate - Swatches & Review

Monday, 15 January 2018

Late last year I purchased a bunch of new Lina Nail Art Supplies from Hit The Bottle and I had all intentions to swatch them all before the end of the year.  Well that clearly didn't happen, but I will be swatching my way through them this year.  Starting off with the 4 Seasons - Winter 02 Stamping Plate.

Image from Lina Nail Art Supplies
This first mani is one that I shared with you last week.  It's a nice and simple one.  Polishes used are Pretty Serious Cosmetics Absence and Hit The Bottle's Calypso Gold.

The main reason why I wanted this stamping plate was for these layering tree images.  I don't know what it is about them but I think they look so cool.  For my base I used China Glaze Stone Cold (which is such a great polish) and stamped using Hit The Bottle Looking For Mr Grey, A Flock Of Seagulls and Powder Perfect's White Stamping Polish.

I think there are some great wintery images on this plate and it will definitely come in handy for nail art challenges.  It probably isn't a plate that I would reach for on an everyday basis though.

The 4 Seasons - Winter 02 Stamping Plate is available now from Lina Nail Art Supplies and Hit The Bottle.

Nail Crazies Unite: Gold Snowflakes

Saturday, 13 January 2018

Nail Crazies Unite is another challenge that I started last year, however had to take a break from in December.  But I am joining back in.  Today's theme is gold snowflakes.  I don't think I have ever done a mani with gold snowflakes.  Silver and white yes, I have even done black but never gold. I have quite a few snowflake images among my stamping plates - so deciding what to use could have been quite tricky.  Luckily for me I have the recently released 4 Seasons - Winter 02 stamping plate from Lina Nail Art Supplies which has plenty of snowflake images to choose from.

For my base I used Pretty Serious Cosmetics Absence and stamped using Hit The Bottles Calypso Gold.  As mentioned, stamping image is from Lina Nail Art Supplies 4 Seasons - Winter 02.

To continue with the matte theme I seem to have this week.  Matte top coat is from piCture pOlish.  These didn't turn as matte as I would have liked but I still like the overall look.

Here is a look at the remaining themes for Nail Crazies Unite for this year:

The Digit-al Dozen Does All That Glitters: Glitter Placement

Friday, 12 January 2018

It's the last day of The Digit-al Dozen Does All That Glitters.  I am going to guess that by this stage I will be itching to play with more glitter after seeing everyone's posts.  Hopefully I will be feeling well enough to start painting my nails again - but never fear I do have a few more blog posts up my sleeves for just in case.  Anyway, onto today's mani!

I couldn't do a week of glitter manis and not do a glitter placement mani.  I went for my favourite glitter pot which is full of matte circle glitters in various colours.  I seriously love this glitter.  It always makes for a fun mani.  Polishes used are China Glaze Bottoms Up and Pretty Serious Cosmetics Presence.  Glitter is from Born Pretty Store.

I hope you have enjoyed this week's Digit-al Dozen theme!  Don't forget to check out the other girls manis.

The Digit-al Dozen Does All That Glitters: Glitter Gradient

Wednesday, 10 January 2018

Today I have my second mani for this week's Digit-al Dozen Does All That Glitters.  I have been grabbing for a lot of neon polishes lately (probably because it's summer here in Melbourne and we have been getting a lot of sunshine - yay!) so I thought I would switch it up for today's mani.  What's the opposite of neon?  Well probably dark but I went for nude instead.  And then topped it with a polish that I don't think I have ever used before - yay for using some more of my untried polishes.

Polishes used are OPI My Vampire Is Buff and The Living Daylights.

Of course I also needed to matte this mani.  I used OPI's Matte Top Coat.  I love it matte!

The Digit-al Dozen Does All The Glitters: Micro Glitter With Stamping

Monday, 8 January 2018

It's Digit-al Dozen week again!  I originally told the girls that I would need to skip this month's challenge due to having surgery, however I have been feeling ok and managed to get some manis done (I am scheduling this post in advance so I haven't had my surgery yet so yay for being organized).  I will only be doing three manis and not the full week but some is better than none right?  Anyway, this week's theme is all the glitters.  This is definitely a fun theme to kick off this year!

I was wanting something bright so thought why not break out the matte microglitters?  These are definitely some of my favourite polishes from Peita's Polish.  For this mani I used Color Club East Austin, Peita's Polish Fizzi-licious and Hit The Bottle's As Black As Night.  Stamping image is from Lina Nail Art Supplies Make Your Mark 06.

I can't wait to see all the other glittery manis from the other ladies.  We also have some new members to the Digit-al Dozen so definitely go and check them out and give them some love.

Uberchic Beauty Collection Twenty Three Stamping Plates - Swatches & Review

Sunday, 7 January 2018

Another collection from Uberchic Beauty?  Yes, yes it is.  There is one thing for sure, Uberchic are quick at releasing more and more goodies.  But the more the merrier if you ask me.  I am such a big fan of Uberchic plates (as you may already know) so when I was told that there was Collection Twenty Three coming I was very excited.

This plate has quite a few full sized images with various designs, along with quite a few layering images and of course smaller individual images.  I quite like the idea of the four images in the top left of this plate.  You can layer all four together or just use two of the images.

I definitely couldn't resist doing the basket weave layering images for my first mani with this plate.  I originally planned on going for a bright mani but then thought it would look cool with two toned stamping.  I love how this mani turned out!  For my base I used Pretty Serious Cosmetics Presence and stamped using Hit The Bottle's A Flock Of Seagulls and Looking For Mr Grey.

23-02
This plate has some really cool designs on it.  I can see me getting a lot of use out of this plate - and doing lots of sponged backgrounds.  Again, it has a mix of full sized images (which you know are my favourite type of stamping images), individual images and layering images.

This next image definitely screamed coloured background to me.  Of course I had to sponge the colours on.  I think I am still obsessed with this technique.  Polishes used are piCture pOlish Chillax, Swagger, Mad Magenta and Candy, and Hit The Bottle As Black As Night.

23-03
This plate definitely has the most full sized images in comparison to the other two plates, and a few individual images.  To be honest, I tend to ignore the individual images unless there is something that really jumps out at me.  Personally, I don't think I would use any of the individual images on this plate, but the full sized images certainly get my attention.  There are some great images on this plate.

This mani you may have already seen in my last blog post.  I think this image looks awesome by itself but it would also look awesome over a multicoloured background too.  Polishes used are China Glaze Chrome Is Where The Heart Is and Hit The Bottle As Black As Night.

I feel like I say this about most Uberchic stamping plates - but I am a big fan of this collection.  I guess this is why I am such a big fan of the brand.  There are so many awesome images and they all stamp beautifully.  What do you think of this collection?

Collection Twenty Three Stamping Plates are available now from Uberchic Beauty.

26 Great Nail Art Ideas: Metallic And One Colour

Friday, 5 January 2018

I may have taken a mini break from the 26 Great Nail Art Ideas Challenge but I am back!  I hate that I have had to miss out on some of the prompts but I am going to do my best to do the remaining ones for this year.  Today's prompt is a nice and easy one (well at least I think it is) - metallic with one colour.

I couldn't resist using China Glaze Chrome Is Where The Heart Is.  I love this polish.  I don't think I really gave it enough love when I originally swatched it.  It's such a gorgeous colour and formula.  Anyway, to keep this mani simple (and to only use one colour) I stamped this image from Uberchic Beauty 23-03 using Hit The Bottle's As Black As Night.

In case you haven't seen the remaining prompts for this challenge (or a looking for a challenge to join this year):

Now before I go I want to apologize because I know that I will be late in adding my post in the inlinkz and on social media.  I am currently having surgery (or have just had surgery) so I will be MIA for a little bit.  As soon as I can I will make sure I catch up.  I look forward to seeing everyone's manis.
