Emily de Molly Boxing Day Sale Limited Editions (Part One) - Swatches & Review

Monday 21 January 2019

It's absolutely no secret that I am a massive Emily de Molly fan!  I mean if you just take a look at any of my monthly favourites or my favourite indies post then you will see that Emily de Molly is always in there.  So naturally when they release new polishes I am on to them.  There were 20 new limited edition polishes released as part of the Boxing Day sale last year and I just had to grab them all.  I mean how can you say no to gorgeous polishes at a discounted price?  Because there is 20 polishes I have decided to split them into two posts so that things don't get out of control.  I'll make sure I link the second post to this one (and vice versa) once it is done.  Right, less talk and more polish!

LE122 is a dark teal green with copper holographic micro glitters and iridescent flakes.  This polish doesn't photograph accurately at all.  But you will just have to trust me that it is such a gorgeous colour and I really like the flakies.  The formula is always awesome and applies evenly.  For my swatch I used two coats.

LE123 is a forest green with bronze flakes, gold shimmers and gold holographic micro glitters.  I'm not really a green fan but this one is nice.  The formula is also fantastic.  You could probably get away with one coat, especially if you have short nails.  I used two coats for my swatch.

LE124 is a dark sage green with strong pink to gold shifting shimmer and iridescent flakes.  I am a big fan of the base colour with the shimmer and flakies.  So pretty!  The formula is great and applies evenly.  You can stop at two coats, however I used three coats for my swatch.

LE125 is a teal blue subtle shimmer with a white/silver magnetic effect.  I think that this is such an interesting colour.  The magnetic effect is a little on the subtle side - or perhaps I needed to hold it there for longer.  The formula is great and is opaque in two coats.

LE126 is a light navy blue with gold flakes, silver holographic micro glitters and a light blue magnetic effect.  This polish appears darker on the nails than it is in the bottle but it is a nice colour.  The formula is great and you could get away with one coat.  I used two coats for my swatch.

LE127 is a pale blue/green with pewter and silver glitters and a subtle shimmer.  This one is really pretty and the formula is great.  I didn't need to fish or place any of the glitters.  My swatch shows two coats.

LE128 is a described as a dark purple holo with gold shimmer, silver holographic glitters and a white/silver magnetic effect.  Personally I think that this polish is more of a blue grey shade.  Whatever colour you want to call it, I like it.  I think it's so interesting and the formula is great.  For my swatch I used two coats.

LE129 is a blurple base with assorted glitters in gold, pink and blue.  Oh how I miss these types of polishes.  They are just so fun to wear.  This polish is making me want to grab out the Forces trio.  Who remembers those polishes?  Anyway, this polish has such a pretty colour combination between the base and glitters.  The formula is good.  I didn't need to fish for any of the glitters, however I did need to manipulate the large circle glitters as some of them decided that they wanted to stick together.  I used two coats for my swatch, although I do question if I should have done a third coat as it is borderline see through at the tips.

LE130 is a red based purple with green/purple/red shifting aurora pigment.  I am OBSESSED with this polish.  I'm so in love.  The colour is amazing and it shifts in so many ways.  I literally can't stop looking at my nails.  The formula is great and applies evenly.  I used three coats for my swatch as it was a little too see through at the tips for my personal taste.

LE131 is a purple with gold and blue shimmers and glitters in blue and silver.  Big fan of this one.  I think the colour is really pretty and the glitters are beautiful.  The formula is awesome and is opaque in two coats.

How pretty are these polishes?  There are sooooo many pretties.  But as part of my New Years Resolutions I am going to be tough on picking my favourites so my personal favourite from part one of the limited editions is hands down LE130.  I could live in this polish!

I'm not sure if any of these polishes are still available but it could be worth checking out the Emily de Molly sites - Australian site and International site.
