Bundle Monster Mystic Woods Set One Stamping Plate Collection - Swatches & Review

Sunday 8 January 2017

There has definitely been a lot more nail art on my blog this week and I am going to end it with my swatches and review of Bundle Monster's Mystic Woods Stamping Plate Collection.  In case you were not aware there is actually two different sets in the Mystic Woods range with each set consisting of ten square plates.  I do have both sets and am planning on doing a blog post with set two towards the end of next week.  Today I will be sharing with you set one.

BM-S171 My Name Is Buck
Do you ever see a stamping plate and think "I need to use this plate/image"?  Well this is one of those plates for me.  I need to use it but first I need to work out how I want to use it.

BM-S172 - Floral Bomb
This is probably my favorite of all the plates in this collection.  There are just endless possibilities with how to use it.    You can bet that I will be getting some great use out of this plate.

For my mani I decided to go very basic.  For my base I used Pretty Serious Cosmetics Can't Take The Sky and then stamped Bundle Monster's Indikon stamping polish from the Mythos Stamping Polish Collection.  You can see my swatches and review of this full collection here if you missed it.

BM-S173 Mother Earth
Now if this isn't a an Earthy plate then I don't know what else could be.  I really like the leaves and that cute little squirrel.

BM-S174 Flower Buffet
Really it's going to come as no surprise when I say that I really like this plate.  I'm definitely more of a floral girl than a leafy one.  I actually used this plate when I swatched Bundle Monster's Star Slinger Stamping Polish Collection.  You can see that post here.

I mentioned in a post a little while ago that I really needed to do more radial gradients.  Well, ta-da!  I've done another radial gradient.  For my gradient I used Orly's Road Trippin, Push The Limit and Beach Cruiser.  I then stamped using Powder Perfect's Black Stamping Polish.

BM-S175 Lost Trinkets
I think that this plate would make for some great decals/reverse stamping.  Our weather is currently too hot for me to attempt any nail art of that type so I may need to revisit this plate at a later time.

BM-S176 Forest Cuties
I think that the name of this plate says it all really.  I mean look at how cute these images are?  I particularly love that little owl.

BM-S177 Geometric Nature
I think there is some great images on this plate.  I think they would look great over a print (maybe in black and white) and then have these images on top filled in with some bright colours....I'm giving myself some more ideas while writing this post.  See inspiration can really come to you at any time!

BM-S178 Mythical Scenes
I'm becoming a big fan of these scene type of images.  Really it makes nail art so easy to do.

As soon as I saw this fairy scene I knew exactly how I had to use it.  I seriously love how it turned out.  For my base I sponged on five of the Essie Neon's (In It To Wyn It, Mark On Miami, Stencil Me In, Off The Wall and The Fuchsia Of Art) and then topped it with China Glaze's Fairy Dust.  Stamping polish from Powder Perfect.

BM-S179 Woodland Abstracts
I am a huge fan of this plate.  I mean look at all of those beautiful floral images?  I've actually used this plate a couple of times now (and the same image apparently - oops).  I first used the image in the top right corner for my swatches of Bundle Monster's Electric Glo Stamping Polish Collection.  You can find that post here.

The second time I used it was to do some gradient stamping.  For my base I used OPI Alpine Snow and then stamped Bundle Monster's Mercury Baseline, Monarch Dream and Kandi Spirit.

BM-S180 Do You See Me?
I think this is such a fun plate to look at.  There are a few different "hidden" things within it.  It definitely would be great to fill in the images on your nails.

Overall I think this is a good collection.  For me personally there are a couple of plates that aren't my style but there are some great mani potential within all of these plates.  I had no issues with how any of the images picked up and transferred onto the nails.

The Mystic Woods Stamping Plate Collection is available both as a set or as individual plates from Bundle Monster

Which is your favourite plate from this collection?

    1. I can see why you would like nature images. They go great with green polishes! There are definitely some great images in both sets. I'm currently having a play with Set 2. I think that the 2nd set is my favorite of the 2.
