I mentioned in one of my posts (I can't remember which one) that I have quite a few Lina Nail Art Supplies plates that I have sitting waiting for me to get around to using them. Well great news, I finally have used one! *pats self on the back*. Seriously, there are so many plates coming out so quickly I am having a hard time keeping up....or maybe it's because I have joined too many nail art challenges? It doesn't matter which way you look at it, I just need to catch up slowly and I'll start now. Today I have my swatches and review of the Make Your Mark 02 Stamping Plate. I have also done a post on the the Make Your Mark 01 plate which you can find here if you are interested.

This first mani you guys may have already seen. This is the matte version of the mani I did for the 26 Great Nail Art Ideas Challenge last week. Polishes used are OPI Alpine Snow, Powder Perfect's Black Stamping Polish and OPI's Matte Top Coat. The heart image is actually from Make Your Mark 01. I really like the matte version of this mani.
Now this is one of those manis that originally started as a nail fail but some how I managed to save it. I thought it would be fun to share with you the steps behind this mani. I really wanted to have a subtle texture look happening (see the the first picture) but this was a bit more subtle than I was expecting. For the base I used Dance Legend's My Wave and stamped using Color Alike B A Cobalt Kick.
I don't really have any other blue stamping polishes that would have suited this base without it being a darker blue altogether. For this part of the mani I stamped Bundle Monster's Cosmic Latte.
As much as I liked the textured look I really wanted to use the stars on this plate, so I did - straight over the above mani. Now I am not usually one for mixing up images but I love how this turned out. I used Powder Perfect's White Stamping Polish for the stars.
I just realized that I have babbled on through this whole post and haven't really spoken about my thoughts on this plate. I quite like it. My favorite images are definitely the texture looking ones. I think they will make from some great manis. I am also a fan of the images I used in this post as well. As you can see the images stamp quite well.
The Make Your Make 02 plate is available now from Lina Nail Art Supplies.
I like all background patterns on this plate. It's just perfect for double stamping. I love your mani with the stars - they look like they were falling from sky :)
