Emily de Molly October Releases - Swatches & Review

Wednesday 18 October 2017

It's that time again - time for some new Emily de Molly polishes!  Yay!  I love Emily de Molly polishes.  There are always so many good ones, so much so I really struggle to pick my favourites.  I will have a few Emily de Molly posts coming up from older polishes that I am still yet to get around to swatching.  The pretties taunt me, sitting in the racks waiting for me to wear them.  Soon my pretties, soon.  Today I do have the new October releases and all I can say is I hope you have prepared your wallets!

Chase The Charmed is a rose gold holo with iridescent flakes.  This is such a pretty colour and I love the addition of the flakes.  The formula is really easy to use.  I used three coats for my swatch, however you can get away with two coats.  I just found it a little see through at the tips in direct light for my personal taste.

End Of Seasons is a burgundy red to orange multichrome with gold holo glitter.  I love this one!  It's so gorgeous.  The formula is fantastic.  My swatch shows two coats.

Ever Sort After is a dark purple with green/purple/red multichrome shimmer and silver flakes.  I love this one too.  The colour shift is great (it's definitely better in person than my pictures show) and the formula is fantastic.  I used two coats for my swatch.

Land Of Critique is a purple holo with pink shimmer, red to green shifting glitters and silver micro glitters.  I'm sure it will come as no surprise if I tell you that I love this one as well.  It's super pretty and the formula is great.  I did use three coats for my swatch, however if you aren't fussy like me (or have shorter nails) you can easily get away with two coats.

Pretty Persona is a light pink with strong green to pink shimmer, iridescent flakes and fuchsia and silver micro glitters.  I think this one is really pretty in the bottle but I am not sure I like it on me.  The formula is really easy to work with.  My swatch shows three coats.

Stylish Cover Up is a dark purple to red thermal with gold shimmer.  I have recently discovered that I am a thermal polish lover (I know it was a surprise to me too) and this polish is one of the reasons.  I love both of the colours and the formula is awesome.  I used two coats for my swatch.

The Counting Order is a light blue base with heavy green to pink shifting shimmer, iridescent and silver glitters and blue flakes.  Super pretty colour with a great formula.  I used three coats for my swatch, but you can get away with two coats.

The Plain Wall is a pink toned light taupe with heavy turquoise shimmer and silver flakes.  This is such a pretty polish and so interesting.  I'm a big fan.  The formula is great, although I did find it a little sheer on the tips at two coats, so I used three coats for my swatch.

I am a huge fan of this release.  There are so many awesome polishes.  You really can't go wrong with any of these.  If I had to pick my absolute favourites (and this is really hard for me to do) then I would say Ever Sort After, Land Of Critique, End Of Seasons, Stylish Cover Up and The Plain Wall.  I know I pretty much named them all but I did try and narrow down my favourites.  Which ones are your favourite?

These polishes will be released on Friday 20th October at 10am AEDT on Emily de Molly's Australian Site and on Thursday 19th October at 7pm EDT on the International Site.

  1. What an amazing post, I love these polishes and the shimmers are perfectly matched with the shade. I've also never seen your nails like this, they're so long! What's your secret?

    1. Thanks Vicky. My secret? Well I had a massive break in two of my nails (in bad places) so I had to wait until they grew out a bit before I could file them back. I'm not a fan of my nails this long. I like them shorter.
