Moyra Stamping 88 Love Love Stamping Plate - Swatches & Review

Last year I welcomed some Moyra stamping plates into my collection and I fell in love with them!  So much so they all landed in my end of year favourites last year.  Now I have another one of their plates - the Love Love Stamping Plate to add to my collection and of course to share with you guys.

Technically my first time using this plate was when I was swatching the Neon Pink stamping polish from Moyra so I may as well pop that swatch in here too.  I do love this image.  I think it would look great over a glitter base or even with some lead lighting/reverse stamping.

When I sat down to do this mani I really hadn't decided which of the full sized images I was going to use but I am so happy that I went with this one.  I think it is so fun with the bright coloured background.  For my base I used Color Club Tic-Tac-Toe, Players Gonna Play, Schoolyard Crush, Extra Credit and All Dolled Up and stamped using Hit The Bottle's As Black As Night.

This image I absolutely love!  I think it would look amazing as a simple black and white mani.  In fact, that's what I had originally planned (or just using it as an accent nail in black and white).  At the last second I decided to use it over Emily de Molly Here We Go Again (because I have been dying to put this polish back on my nails).  I love how this image looks with this polish.

I am a big fan of this plate.  I really like the full sized images in particular and some of the smaller images are nice but as we know I don't really do small images.  All of the images stamp beautifully as well.

Moyra Nail Stamping White Foil Stamping Polish, Gold & Silver Foils, & Aqua Top Coat - Swatches & Review

Today I have a quite a few products from Moyra to share with you.  They all work well together and it would be kind of hard to separate into different posts so I thought why not just talk about them all in the same post.  Which products are we going to be talking about?  Well, I have the White Stamping Polish, the Silver and Gold Stamping Foils and the Aqua Top Coat.  

White Foil Stamping Polish

This polish surprised me a little.  It seemed a little sheer in comparison to other white stamping polishes but it does stamp well.  It also dried relatively slow which allows for plenty of time to add the foil.
        

Silver & Gold Stamping Foils

I have very curved nails and foils don't seem to love me.  With that said, I think I am finding a way for them to work for me.  I definitely still have a bit of a learning curve with them.  I allowed the stamping polish to "dry" for about 10-20 seconds and then sponged on the foils.  I did attempt to apply the gold foil to the full nail but it didn't turn out great so I ended up having to random put the foil on to fix it.  I do love how shiny these are and definitely want to keep trying to get them for work for me.
        

Aqua Top Coat

If you don't know most top coats will cause foils to wrinkle.  Introducing the Aqua Top Coat...I am a big fan of this for foils.  Initially I was worried because it looked quite milky on the nails but as it dried it turned clear and the foils remained smooth and shiny!  It does dry slowly but I am ok with that.

While I definitely have a learning curve when it comes to foils and my nails I am definitely a huge fan of all of these products.  I am definitely going to have to break out the other colours in the Moyra foils that I own and practice some more.

Moyra Nail Stamping Neon Pink Stamping Polish - Swatches & Review

Happy Monday everyone!  I hope you all had a nice and relaxing weekend.  I know I did.  Last week I received an awesome package from Moyra Nail Stamping so prepare yourself for some Moyra goodies on my blog again.  Starting with their Neon Pink stamping polish!

Neon Pink is a neon pink stamping polish.  This polish sits somewhere in between a creme and a jelly.  It's really interesting and the colour is awesome (but I am a sucker for a neon pink polish).  This polish does dry really quickly so you need to move fast.  As you can see from my swatches it swatches perfectly over white but not so great over black - which I think is because it's kinda jelly.

While this polish isn't great over black I do love it over white!  It's definitely a lot brighter in person than what it looks in my picture.  I also love the wide brush that this polish has too.  It makes it really quick and applies a good amount of polish on the plate.

Moyra Stamping Colour Book Stamping Plate - Swatches & Review

This post has been a long time in the making that's for sure.  I originally purchased the Moyra Colour Book back in May (or maybe it was April) and for one reason or another I never finished swatching it until now.  Oops.  I struggle to keep up with myself sometimes but I always catch up in the end.

There is something about this plate that screamed colours to me (maybe that is why it is called the colour book stamping plate) which naturally means neons.  For my base I used That's Shore Bright, Purple Panic and Flip Flop Fantasy and stamped using Powder Perfect's Black Stamping Polish.

I was swatching some new Emily de Molly polishes and I fell in with this base so much so I didn't want to take it off.  My solution - stamp over it.  I love how this mani turned out.  It's so pretty.  For my base I used Emily de Molly All The Feelings 2.0 over Emily de Molly Micro-structure and stamped using Hit The Bottle Snowed In.

I really like this stamping plate.  I think the images are great and they all stamp beautifully.

Moyra Stamping Aboriginal Stamping Plate - Swatches & Review

I feel like it has been forever since I have used any of the Moyra products that I purchased a few months ago so I thought it was time to grab them out and use them.  I think I have only one more stamping plate to swatch and then its just some more of the foil stamping polishes and foils to do.  Anyway, today I have the Aboriginal Stamping Plate to share with you.

This first mani may be one that you have seen already.  I actually did this mani back in May as part of the Digit-al Dozen Does Colour.  It was fun to wear.  For my gradient I used Colour Alike B. A Yellow Glow, B. A Green Light and B. A Cobalt Kick and stamped using Powder Perfect's Black Stamping Polish.

I love how simple this next mani is but I think it looks so cool.  For my base I used Emily de Molly Take Backs (with the magnetic effect) and stamped using Powder Perfect's Black Stamping Polish. 

This image screamed to use colour so I grabbed out the entire Weekend Warrior Collection from Maniology (don't forget you can use my affiliate code OLIVIA10 to get 10% off your order).  I think this mani turned out so good.  Although, I think it may be a little bit busy.  I think doing some reverse stamping may have been better.  Maybe next time.

I really like this plate.  I think that there are some really fantastic and interesting images on this plate.  All of the images stamped well and I had no issues at all.  I definitely look forward to playing with this plate some more.

Moyra Stamping Stained Glass Stamping Plate - Swatches & Review

Hello, hello!  Today I have another stamping plate to share with you guys, although I am switching it up and not sharing one of the new Uberchic plates (I'm still swatching my way through those).  Instead, today I have the Stained Glass stamping plate from Moyra Stamping.  I still have a few of their goodies that I picked up that I haven't actually gotten around to using yet...oops.  But I have planned with the Stained Glass plate already so let's talk about that.

Now one of the things (along side being unique and having gorgeous images) that drew me to this plate is the fact that it screams lead lighting to me.  I love lead lighting but it's something that I don't do very often.  With that said, both of the manis that I have done with this plate are both lead lighting manis - and I absolutely love them both!

This first mani I actually did as part of the Digit-al Dozen Does Colours.  For my base I used China Glaze I'd Melt For You and filled in the design using the entire Jelly Shots Collection (with the exception of the black) from Hit The Bottle.

I couldn't go past this floral image.  It's stunning!  As much as I loved the silver base I thought I should mix it up and use a white base for this mani.  For my base I used Emily de Molly Bright Retreat and filled in the design using Color Club's Just Dew It and Tube Top.

I love this plate!  Like I said, one of the things that drew me to this plate is how unique it is.  I don't think I have anything like it in my collection.  I was a little worried that because there are such thing likes and details that it wouldn't stamp well but I am so impressed.  I had no issues with picking up or transferring any of the images.

Moyra Stamping Foil Polish Stamping Kit 3 - Swatches & Review

As you may be aware I recently made my first purchase from Moyra Stamping.  My main reason for this was their foil stamping polishes.  I love the idea of foils (I certainly have a lot of them in my collection) but I can never get them to work how I want them too.  When I saw that Moyra had foil stamping polishes I thought this could be the perfect solution for me.  I thought I would take the gamble and buy basically one of each (I will be sharing these with you over time) but I did discover that Moyra also sell Foil Polish Stamping Kits.  Each kit contains two of the magic foils, one foil stamping polish and two pigments.  I decided to grab Foil Polish Stamping Kit 3 which is what I will be sharing with you today.  This kit comes with the silver foil stamping polish, magic foils in silver and blue, and pigment powder 23 and 27.  For consistency I would swatch everything over black and used Moyra's Colour Book Stamping Plate.

Silver Foil Stamping Polish
This is exactly what you think it is.  It is just a silver (although more of a shimmery silver than a metallic silver).  It's quite pretty on its own and stamps perfectly.  I had zero issues with it.

Silver and Blue Magic Foils
There is definitely a learning curve when it comes to using these foils and I have since learnt that each of these foils perform slightly different.  For the silver foil it appears that dabbing the foil on in bits is better than putting the foil all over the nail in one piece.  I dabbed the foil on my pinkie while the others was placed on the full nail.  I also only used top coat (seche vite) on my ring nail.  The others don't have any top coat.

Now for the blue I tried dabbing it on my pinkie again but as you can see it doesn't seem to work as well as the silver foil.  I also tried doing over the whole nail and that seemed to have better results, but overall I'm not loving the look as much as the silver.  I might try this foil over the white stamping polish and see if that will give a better result.

Pigments 23 & 27

I haven't tried these pigments as whole nails yet so I can't comment on that but over the foil stamping polish I really like them.  They are easy to use, although they do make quite a bit of mess.  I found that dipping my nail into the jars were better than trying to apply the pigment with a brush.  On my pinkie and ring nails I have used pigment 23 and on my middle and index nails I used pigment 27.

Overall I quite like the idea of this kit.  I am definitely excited about playing some more with this kit as well as the other foils and stamping polish I have from Moyra.

Moyra Stamping 32 - Nature Stamping Plate - Swatches & Review

If you saw any of my Digit-al Dozen manis last week then you will have seen that I have recently added some Moyra Stamping products to my collection.  I will be sharing each of the products with you guys over the next few weeks.  Starting today with the Nature stamping plate.

This first mani I did was a mani that I did as part of the Digit-al Dozen Does Colours.  I absolutely love everything about this mani.  Polishes used are all from Pretty Serious Cosmetics.

This image is one of reasons why I wanted this stamping plate.  The main reason was actually the blacken version of this mani but I didn't think that that image would work as well for the look I was going for.  Never fear though - you will be seeing that image in a mani of mine at some point.  Anyway, for this mani I used Color Club Get It Girl and Harp On It, Emily de Molly Bright Retreat and Powder Perfect Black Stamping Polish.

This is another mani that I did as part of the Digit-al Dozen Does Colours.  I was excited to use the foil stamping polish from Moyra (they were the main reason I made my first purchase from them).  While this mani is far from perfect I still really like it.  There is something magical about having extra shiny nails.  For my base I used Essie Mint Candy Apple, Saltwater Happy, Saved By The Belle and Baguette Me Not, and stamped using Moyra's Silver Foil Stamping Polish and silver foil.

I love this plate!  I think there are some really awesome and unique images on here and they stamp beautifully.  I am excited to keep playing with this plate.
