Powder Perfect Halloween 2015 Duo - Swatches & Review

Friday, 21 October 2016

We're taking another step back in time with today's post.  Not quite as big a step back as it was on Monday but still it's going back to last year.  I picked up the Halloween Duo that Powder Perfect released last year in collaboration with Mei Mei Signatures but for some unknown reason I never actually got around to using them until now.  Both of these polishes are no longer available (I guess that's the one down side of blogging older polishes), however they are too pretty not to share.

Vampire's Chalice is a deep, sensual red holographic.  Such a great red holographic.  I like that it's not too dark or too bright.  The formula is great and easy to use.  My swatch shows two coats.

Venomous Serum has an electric blue holographic base with red microglitters and bright blue flakies.  This is definitely my favorite of the two.  I love that red glitters which gives it something a little different from a traditional blue holographic.  The formula is fantastic and is opaque in two coats.

While this Halloween duo is no longer available (sorry!) you definitely should check out Powder Perfect's Halloween 2016 duo.  You can see my swatches and review of those polishes here.  If I had to pick between the two duos I would definitely say that this year's polishes are my favorite.  They are just so interesting and they are flakies!

The Halloween 2016 Duo is available from Powder Perfect's Australian site and their International site.

Powder Perfect Antique Princess Duo (Mei Mei Signatures Exclusives) - Swatches & Review

Thursday, 15 September 2016

Powder Perfect have recently added a few new exclusive polishes to Mei Mei Signatures store.  I just so happen to have the Antique Princess Duo to share with you today.  There is also an Anniversary Duo that is definitely worth checking out as well (I know I have my eyes on them) but let's just focus on the pretties I do already have shall we?  I'm like a child and get distracted by pretty shiny things easily.

Contested Crown is a mauve purple holo with blue to purple shifting micro flakes.  I love this polish.  The colour is awesome and the formula is amazing.  Unfortunately when I swatched this polish the sun wasn't very strong so I couldn't capture the holo in this polish as well as I would have liked.  For my swatch I used two coats.

Forgotten Princess has an olive green jelly base and is filled with gold to fuchsia flakies.  This polish is definitely really interesting.  The formula is great and easy to use.  For my swatch I used two coats.

Both of these shades are fantastic and worth grabbing if you can.  They are just so interesting.

The Antique Princess duo is exclusive to Mei Mei Signatures.  For Australian customers head over to Powder Perfect later tonight (8pm AEST) as they will be stocking some of these shades.  I believe there is only a limited amount so grab them quickly!

Powder Perfect Botanic Duo - Swatches & Review

Friday, 16 October 2015

I am sooooooo excited to be able to share with you the Botanic Duo by Powder Perfect.  I have had these swatched for such a long time and have been dying to share them with you.  Be warned, there is going to be lots of praise for this duo.  I think it would have to be my favorite Powder Perfect duo ever.  Both polishes are gorgeous (and are a must in all collections in my opinion) and the formulas are amazing.  Now let's dive into the pictures.

Forgetful Gardener is a green holo with teal, silver and purple glitters.  Look at how pretty she is. Don't you just love her?  I used two coats for my swatch.

Purple Succulent is by far the most amazing purple holo ever!  That's not it's official description but it really should be.  Officially, Purple Succulent is a a purple holo with purple-blue shifting flakies.  I am sooooo in love with this polish.  Love, love, love it!!!  I used two coats for my swatch.

Now did I mention that I love this duo?  It seriously is my favorite duo from Powder Perfect.  The green is absolutely stunning, but that purple is to die for!

This polishes is available now in limited quantities from Powder Perfect and is also available from Mei Mei Signatures.  Definitely grab these while you can!

Emily de Molly Happy Feet Duo - Swatches & Review

Monday, 12 October 2015

Between the delay with our belongings delivered/unpacking and my daughter being sick, I am a little bit behind with blogging.  Apologizes for that, but I am slowing getting back on track again.  All of my polishes are nearly unpacked too which means I can nearly have an organized polish room again - and I will actually be able to find things.  Woohoo!  Anyway today I have the Happy Feet Duo by Emily de Molly to share with you.  This duo is exclusively sold by Mei Mei Signatures (who does world wide shipping from memory).

Inked Chameleon has a light blue base and is filled with different coloured glitters in various shapes and sizes.  This polish is inspired by the colour changing chameleon lizards.  I think it's a super pretty and fun polish.  The glitters are easy to get out (no fishing required) but I did find that they like to stick together so it took a little bit or work to spread them out over the nail.  I used two coats for my swatch plus two coats of top coat.

The Dark Wildwood is a dark green jelly with diamond, large dots, glitters and tiny flakies.  This polish is inspired by the forest surrounded by chameleon lizards.  Such a pretty polish and the formula was easy to use.  I used two coats for my swatch plus two coats of top coat.

How pretty are both of these polishes?  My personal favorite is Inked Chameleon, mainly because I am more drawn to lighter and brighter polishes.

The Happy Feet Duo is exclusively sold by Mei Mei Signatures and is currently still available.  I am not sure if these are limited edition or not so it may be worth grabbing them sooner rather than later.
