Emily de Molly August 2020 Releases - Swatches & Review

Friday 21 August 2020

PRESS SAMPLE

It's been a while since I last blogged so when I first opened up blogger I was surprised to see a new version of it.  I sat down over multi days (yes days!) writing up my post for the upcoming Emily de Molly release to have it all just completely disappear with no way to get it back.  So very frustrating and incredibly time consuming but to look on the bright side here I get to re look at all these new pretties.  Prepare your wallets/bank accounts and let's take a look at this month's release.

Dry Land is a very pale blue/green base with orange/gold/green shifting iridescent flakes.  This is super pretty base colour and naturally I love the flakies.  The formula is easy to use but I did find it to be a little on the sheer side.  I used three coats for my swatch but you can stop at two coats.

Fade Away is a dark steel blue base with metallic gold flakes and a silvery white magnetic effect.  I think this is such a cool polish (both with and without the magnetic effect).  The formula is great and easy to use.  For my swatch I used two coats.

It's Tradition is a neon pink crelly base with matte white glitters.  No surprise that I love this one.  The colour is awesome and there is a good glitter payoff.  The formula is easy to use and applies evenly.  I used two coats for my swatch and two coats of top coat.

Layers Of Love is a light turquoise green base with pink/orange/gold/green iridescent flakes.  Super pretty polish with a good formula.  I did find it a little on the sheer side so I used three coats for my swatch.

Pay The Price is a bright red with silver holographic flakes.  I love this one!  Surprising yes because I am not really a red polish girl but this one is gorgeous.  The formula is great and is opaque in two coats.

Seven Devils is a dark red base with orange/gold/green shifting iridescent flakes.  I love this one too!  It's gorgeous and the base colour is so rich and beautiful.  The formula is great and easy to use.  I used three coats for my swatch but you can stop at two coats.

The Dreams We Find is a medium purple base with green to blue shifting shimmer and pink/orange/gold/green shifting flakes.  Again, this is another polish that I love!  I love the colour, the shimmer, the flakes and the formula.  It is so easy to use and applies evenly.  I did use three coats for my swatch but again you can stop at two coats.

True Superstar  is a pale brown/nude ultra holo with metallic silver flakes.  I love this one too!  It was actually the first one I wore from this new release.  It's so pretty and the holo is insane.  The formula is great and applies evenly.  My swatch shows two coats.

I'm not sure how many times I can say it but I love this new release.  There are so many awesome polishes and a great mix of colours and finishes.  I would try and narrow down favourites but I basically will be listing all of the polishes so I guess I'll skip narrowing them down.

The August releases will be available Monday 24th August 10am AEST on Emily de Molly's Australian site and on Sunday 23rd at 8pm EDT on the international site.
