Uberchic Beauty Texture-licious Mini Stamping Plate - Swatches & Review

Sunday 6 November 2016

I'm going to start this post with a little bit of a story/a mini rant.  Prior to the release of this plate (and the Mermaid Life and Collection 12 plates which I will be reviewing for you shortly) I was contacted by Uberchic to see if I wanted to swatch and review these plates.  Nothing out of the ordinary with that, and they were sent super quick.  I stalked the tracking on a daily basis (I like to be prepared for packages - I'm like a kid at Christmas!) and my package arrived in Australia on October 11.  Now usually I receive packages within 2-3 days of them arriving in the country but 2 weeks later I still hadn't received my package.  Lots of phone calls to Australia Post and even to Customs and no one was able to tell me anything, other than hand-balling me off).  So I gave up hope and emailed Brittany to let her know.  Brittany and the Uberchic team have amazing customer service (and that is being said both as a paying customer and as a blogger) which is another reason I love their brand so much.  Thank you Brittany for being so great and understanding.  Fast forward to three weeks later and my package finally arrived!!  Well done Australia Post (please note the sarcasm there)!

Ok enough ranting about a horrid postal service, and lets talk about the greatness that is the new Uberchic Texture-licious Mini Stamping Plate.  I love the images on this plate.  I couldn't help but go for double stamping for both of the manis I did.  There is something about this plates that says double stamp or layer images.

For my first mani I couldn't go past the dry brush looking image.  I am a huge fan of dry brushing and the have a plate that makes it look so even is perfect for me!  You can bet you will be seeing me use this image a lot.  For my base I used Sienna Byron Bay Breeze and Powder Perfect's Black and White Stamping Polishes.

For my second mani I was trying to go for a marble look.  Not quite what I had in mind, but I still really like the result.  I really need to find some grey stamping polishes!  For this mani I used OPI Alpine Snow and then mixed Powder Perfect's Black and White Stamping Polishes.

I really love this plate.  I can see me using it a lot.  Like with all Uberchic plates this one stamps beautifully and I had no issues with it at all.

The Texture-licious Mini Stamping Plate is available now from Uberchic Beauty.

    1. $100 gift certificate is AMAZING! Congrats! Yes definitely grab this plate when you can. Even if it is just for the dry brush image only. I think I will become addicted to it. lol. As for Collection 12 I think everyone got it before me. Australia Post kill me when I know they have my packages. Not knowing is so much easier to deal with.

THANK YOU!! That means the world to me! I am glad that you find my blog helpful. I am happy to take on any blog requests that you may have too. Just let me know and I will try and work them in :)

And THANK YOU for being such an amazing follower on both my blog and IG. I always look forward to your comments <3

    1. It really is a great plate! Finding basic plates is hard because there are soooooo many options. Or maybe I just have terrible decision making skills. That is probably more likely. lol

No need to apologize. It's not your fault. Our postal company just sucks. Always has and probably always will unfortunately.

    2. I hope you don't mind me offering an opinion but one of the best basic nail plate sets for the money is Uberchic Beauty set 1. Very versatile and three plates with loads of images for $25. It's a great place to start.

    3. Great suggestion Christy! I think sharing opinions when it comes to stamping plates is always great. There are soooooo many choices that it can be so overwhelming. I mean I still feel like that when I go to shop and I definitely don't have a small collection. I can only image how hard it is for anyone starting their collections now

  3. Thx for the post! I'm brand new to stamping and this is one of the plates I have... I seem to lack creativity it seems, because for the life of me I can't think of anything to do with all these plates other than the obvious.. but I really enjoy looking at amazing swatches like yours and getting some ideas! You're amazing

    1. Thank you Erin. That is so kind of you to say. There is absolutely nothing wrong with doing the obvious. Sometimes they are the best manis to do to. The only thing I can say is play around and have fun :)
