Lilypad Lacquer September 2016 New Releases (Part Three) - Swatches & Reviews

I'm back with Part Three of the new releases from Lilypad Lacquer.  Now I can't remember if I have mentioned it or not (forgive my tired exhausted brain - it's been a long couple of weeks with moving) Lilypad Lacquer have released thirty new holographic polishes.  I do have all thirty to swatch, however I only have swatched fifteen so far.  Today's post is the last five polishes that I have swatched so this is be the last Lilypad Lacquer post for a little bit until I swatch the remaining polishes...and there are some gorgeous ones!

Like with the other two parts of this post all polishes have a great formula.  They are easy to use, build up nicely (they do vary from being two to three coats), and look gorgeous, especially in the sun.  All of my pictures are taken outdoors and in direct sunlight and all polishes are swatched without top coat.

Close Encounter is a red toned purple holographic.  Purple - check!  Looks amazing in the sun - check!  Fantastic formula - check!  Definitely is everything I could ask for in a holographic polish.  My swatch shows two coats.

Hardcore is copper tone orange holographic.  You can get away with two coats of this one, but there is a slight visible nail line.  I used three coats for my swatch.

Lollipop is a bright light pink holographic.  This one is probably the sheerest of this half of the new releases.  It does build up in three coats, but there is still a light visible nail line.  For me personally, I would probably wear this over a base colour next time.  The colour of this polish is beautiful.  My swatch shows three coats.

Star Struck is a violet toned navy blue.  The formula of this one is amazing!  You could easily get away with using one coat.  For my swatch I used two coats.

When Love Comes To Town is a bright red holographic. While I did use three coats for this polish, you could easily get away with two coats if you don't mind a very slight visible nail line.

There is definitely some amazing polishes in Lilypad Lacquer's new releases.  I would be surprised if there is anyone out there would could not find a colour they love.  My top picks from the polishes in this post are Close Encounter and Lollipop.  I'm going to guess that no one is surprised by that?  I'm such a sucker for pink and purple polishes.

31DC2016 Nail Art Challenge - Colours

It's that time of year again where I am crazy enough to attempt to do the 31 Day Nail Art Challenge.  But didn't you attempt to do the weekly version of this challenge and fail?  Why yes, yes I did.  No idea why I struggled so much with doing this challenge as a weekly version but it just wasn't working for me.  I've managed to do the daily version of the last couple of years so I figured why not try again?  So far the challenge has been extremely challenging so far as I have moved house and am still trying to unpack and settle in.  As I right this post, my polishes and all nail art things are still boxed up.  Hopefully tomorrow I can start unpacking them.  If not, there will be a slight pause in this challenge but I am determined to complete it.  So let's take a look back at what manis I have done so far?  I'll also link my blog post that I did last year for these same themes.  In that post is also pictures of the 2014 manis.

Lilypad Lacquer September 2016 New Releases (Part Two) - Swatches & Reviews

As promised I am back with another five new polishes that Lilypad Lacquer have just released.  Now like with Part One of these new releases all polishes are really easy to use and all are swatched without top coat.  All pictures are taken both in natural outdoor light as well as direct sunlight.  You can't have a holographic polish and not show all that holographic goodness can you?  Right let's jump into the swatches!

Arabica is a rich deep brown holographic.  Fan fact:  this was actually the first polish that I swatched from the new Lilypads.  This one does apply a little unevenly on the first coat but evens out perfectly on the second coat.  My swatch shows two coats.

Mad Love is an orange toned red holographic.  Now tell me when you see the words Mad Love Taylor Swift's song Bad Blood doesn't start going off in your head?  Maybe that's just me (and yes I have it in my head as I write this lol).  Anyway this polish applies really evenly.  My swatch shows two coats.

Sea-quins is bright light blue holographic.  Such a gorgeous colour.  I used three coats for my swatch, however you can get away with two coats if you don't mind a very slight visible nail line.

Show Me The Money is a rich Kelly green holographic.  This one is easy to use and opaque in two coats.

Wicked Ways is a magenta toned purple holographic.  I love everything about this one.  For my swatch I used two coats.

Lilypad Lacquer really know how to do drool worthy holos that's for sure.  Hands down my favorite from these five polishes is Wicked Ways (what can I say I am a sucker for purple!) and Sea-quins.  Which one of these five shades is your favorite?

Lilypad Lacquer September 2016 New Releases (Part One) - Swatches & Reviews

Spring has sprung here in Australia (although I think Melbourne may have missed the notice seems it is still cold and raining) and what a better way to bring in the new season than with some new polishes?  Lilypad Lacquer have released thirty gorgeous new holographic polishes.  Yes you did read that correctly.  There is thirty new shades.  I have half of the new releases to share with you this week (which I will be sharing over three posts) and then the other half are in my "need to swatch" once I have moved into our new house.  Fingers crossed for no nail breaks, cuts on my hands and plenty of sunshine so I can swatch them.  Right now let's get into the first lot of five polishes I have.

To save myself repeating myself throughout this post, all of these polishes are so easy to use.  They apply well and are opaque in two to three coats.  All of my pictures have been taken in direct sunlight as well as outdoors in shade.  All swatches are done without top coat.

Atomic Apple is a bright lime green holographic.  I quite like the colour of this one.  The formula is a little sheer on the first coat, however does build up nicely.  You could get away with two coats but you may have a very slight visible nail line.  My swatch shows three coats.

Bohemian Gypsy is a pink toned purple holographic.  Now there is no surprise that I love this one.  The colour is just gorgeous!  The formula is very similar to Atomic Apple.  My swatch shows three coats.

Fanta-Sea is a bright orange holographic.  This is quite an interesting polish.  As you can see from my pictures the polish looks slightly different on my nails than it does in the bottle.  I'm not sure if it's my body chemist or not but when I applied the polish it starts as a golden orange and changes to a bright orange as it dries.  The formula is a little on the sheer side and needs three coats to be opaque.

 Mon Cheri is a crimson holographic.  Nice colour and easy to use.  I used three coats for my swatch.

Nero is blue toned black holographic.  I love this one in the sun.  So pretty.  This one applies really evenly and is opaque in two coats.

How pretty are these polishes?  I honestly can't wait for more sunny (and warmer) weather to get lots of wear out of these holos.  My personal favorite from these five would have to Bohemian Gypsy.  I will have the other two parts of this release coming later this week and I will add links to this post when the posts are up.  You definitely don't want to miss the other posts.

Sally Hansen Secret Garden Miracle Gel (Part) Collection - Swatches & Review

Last week I mentioned that I received two collections from Sally Hansen (if you missed the swatches and review of the Delicate Decadance Miracle Gel Collection you can see that here).  Today I have three polishes from the Secret Garden Collection to share with you.  This collection consists of six limited edition duo packs with a "botanically beautiful shade" and a Miracle Gel Top Coat.

Ba-Bloom is bright coral creme with golden shimmer.  This polish is stunning and has a great formula.  My swatch shows two coats.

Flower Crown is a pearlescent petal pink.  This is a really pretty and fresh colour.  While the formula is easy to work with it does apply unevenly and is a little on the sheer side.  I used three coats for my swatch.

Tawny Travels is a burnished brick red creme.  The formula of this one is great.  My swatch shows two coats.

I am such a fan of the Miracle Gel formulas.  With the exception of Flower Crown (which is forgiven because it is such a light shade) the formulas are so easy to work with.  My personal favorite from this collection that I have tried is Ba-Bloom.

Uberchic Beauty Wild West 02 Stamping Plate - Swatches & Review

Uberchic Beauty have added another Wild West stamping plate to their line of individual plates.  Now I am pretty sure I own the Wild West 01 stamping plate but I don't think I have blogged about it yet.  Apparently I have a few things that I should blog about that I haven't yet.  I really should make a list.  Let me know if there is anything in particular you would like me to drag out from the depths of my ever-growing collection.  Anyway, today I have the Wild West 02 plate to show you.

I am not usually a wild west fan but I am a big fan of this plate.  The images aren't what I would normally consider as wild west but there are some really great designs.  I would have to say that both of the manis I have done with this plate are some of my favorite manis that I have done this month.  Like with all other Uberchic plates these images pick up and transfer well.
