I'm continuing on this week with some more nail art, however it's not Christmas nail art. I have come to the conclusion that Christmas nail art is where I am struggling at the moment. I have no clue why. Maybe my expectations are too high? Anyway, today I have my swatches and a review of Uberchic's Collection Thirteen Stamping Plates. Yes, you read correctly - Collection Thirteen! How crazy is that? I think I now have more folders of Uberchic plates than any other brand (that being said the plate holders hold less than the folders for small round plates). My point: there are a lot of Uberchic plates and room for plenty more in my future.

Now I am 99% sure I say this same thing every time I post an Uberchic post (so I do apologize for repeating myself) but I really like these plates. They stamp well, have a great mix of designs and have layering images which I am quite the fan of. I'm still not perfect at layering them but I think I am improving and that is all that matters.

I don't know what it is about this first image but it just said neon dry brush to me. No clue why, but who am I to argue? I love how this mani turned out. For the base I used OPI Alpine Snow then dry brushed Dance Legend's Banana Party, Best Vacation and Umc Umc Baby. I then stamped using Powder Perfect's Black Stamping Polish.

As soon as I saw this next image I just knew I need to use it over a pastel gradient. I was originally thinking along the lines of a pink gradient, however I was inspired to use Dance Legend's Velvet polishes after doing another matte mani (you may have seen the mani I am talking about on Instagram but if not you'll see that below). For my base I used Dance Legend's 651, 653 and 656 and then stamped using Powder Perfect's White Stamping Polish.

This mani is actually the first mani I did using this collection of plates. I was wearing the gorgeous Grace-full Nail Polish Lake Town and wasn't quite ready to take it off. Plus how fun is it to use these negative space images over a multichrome polish? Seriously loving this mani. Mind you I actually forgot to post it on Instagram until the other day. So silly.

I couldn't skip over using layering images and this one scream neon base with black and white stamping. I'm so happy with this mani. While my stamping still isn't perfectly lined up I am still really happy. Polishes used are China Glaze Bite Me and Powder Perfect's Black and White Stamping Polishes.

This next mani is the matte mani that inspired me to use the Dance Legend polishes above. Seriously love how this mani turned out. For the base I used China Glaze's For Audrey (which looks amazing matte - definitely try it if you haven't already) and then stamped using Powder Perfect's White Stamping Polish and topped it with OPI's Matte Top Coat.

And for fun I thought I would show you the shiny version as well.

It has been forever (or certainly feels like forever) since I have done a skittlette mani so thought it was time. For this mani I used OPI Rich Girls and Po-boys, Alpine Snow, This Gown Needs A Crown and Powder Perfect's Black Stamping Polish.

I'm really not sure what else I can say. I am such a fan of all of Uberchic's plates and this collection isn't any different. There are some great images (and a good mix of things) and they all stamp really well.
Collection Thirteen is available now from Uberchic Beauty.
As always, a plate set I think I will pass on then you get it and I want it!! Beautiful
ReplyDeleteSorry (I think). I think it's pretty safe to grab pretty much all of the Uberchic Collections. Now just to rob a bank to be able to get them all lol.
