Femme Fatale Cosmetics Beauty So Fly Exclusives - Swatches & Review

Sunday, 27 November 2016

Earlier this year you may remember me making a comment about how many store exclusives Femme Fatale Cosmetics had released and that had lots of them to share with you.  For one reason or another I had them in my blog planner and keep bumping them down until somewhere along the lines they completely disappeared from my planner.  Oops.  But as part of me trying to swatch all the polishes I have purchased this year, they are back on my schedule...for now.  I actually need to sit down and re work my planner again and most likely give up on trying to swatch everything I have purchased in favor for some Christmas manis.  I may have purchased quite a few during the Black Friday sales. Anyway, today I have swatches and a review of three of the store exclusives for Beauty So Fly.

Dreamscape is a pink violet with strong turquoise shine.  This polish is stunning and I have zero clue why I have left it so long to actually try it.  The formula is easy to use, however is a little on the sheer side.  I used three coats for my swatch.

Glacier Nether is a rich velvet blue with fuchsia and silver holographic glitters, shards and green shimmers.  I really like this one in the bottle but I am not sure I like it so much on my nails.  The polish applies unevenly on the first coat, however evens out on the second and third coats.  My swatch shows three coats.

Solar Storm is a grey crelly with strong red shimmer/shine, silver holographic glitters and red microglitters.  This one really reminds me of another polish the Femme Fatale have done but I can't think of which one (I am also being really lazy and not digging through my drawers to see).  The formula is great and applies evenly.  I used two coats for my swatch.

I just had a quick look at the Beauty So Fly website and it appears that only Dreamscape and Glacier Nether are available now (Solar Storm is currently sold out).  There also appears to be some new exclusives.

Lilypad Lacquer Fireworks (Beauty So Fly Exclusive) - Swatches & Review

Friday, 20 May 2016

Today I have another Lilypad Lacquer post for you and this one will be a quick post.  I was recently shopping at Beauty So Fly picking up some Femme Fatale Cosmetics exclusives when I stumbled upon some other store exclusives that I just had to add to my cart.  You know, for safety reasons.  Plus it makes shipping seem more reasonable.  Any justification will do for this polish!

Fireworks is a multicoloured micro holo glitter, with silver, gold, fuchsia, green, blue colours!  I wish that you could just see how sparkly this baby is.  It's absolutely gorgeous.  I am a huge fan.  It's easy to use, has soooooooo many colours plus it super sparkly.  Love, love, love.  I used two coats over black for my swatch, but honestly I think three coats on it's own would be perfect.

I really don't know what else I can say about this polish.  It's amazing and I think everyone who likes glitter should own it.

Fireworks is sold exclusively from Beauty So Fly.

Femme Fatale Cosmetics Beauty So Fly Exclusives - Swatches & Review

Sunday, 29 March 2015

Tomorrow Femme Fatale Cosmetics have their presale happening for their April shades which I am dying to get my hands on (and extremely nervous that I will miss out on the limited editions).  I thought today would be a good time to break out their latest additions to my collection - the two exclusives which are only sold at Beauty So Fly.

Before I jump into my review of the polishes I thought it would be good to talk about my experience shopping at Beauty So Fly.  This store is new to me.  In fact, I had never heard of it until I saw in the Femme Fatale facebook that there were two exclusives.  I found the turn around time from ordering to them being shipped quite long (it was just over a week).  I found this quite long particularly if you compare it to the other international stockists.  As for price, these polishes are roughly $15 each (before postage) so rather high.  I would definitely recommend group buys for these ones if you can.  Now onto the polishes.

Glass Carnival is a shimmering blue jelly with pink accents and silver holo.  I think this is a really pretty polish and it is super sparkly.  I found the application of this one quite easy.  Looking that the pictures it looks are those you can see the tips of my nails but this isn't noticeable in person.  I used three coats for my swatch.

Sideshow Sparkler has a rich purple base with soft green shimmer and multi coloured glitters and flakes.  This one is definitely my favorite of the two, although I was a little disappointed with the application of this one.  I find the brush tends to drag the polish off so the first coat I needed to use a semi dabbing technique to get the colour to stay on my nails.  I needed three coats for full coverage.

I do love both of these polishes.  In my perfect world I would have the old Femme Fatale bottles and brushes (application of all the polishes was so much better in these bottles) and I would have these polishes as collaborations rather than exclusives so the price of these isn't as high and are more accessible to us Australian customers.

Now these polishes are currently sold out on Beauty So Fly but I don't think they are limited edition so will hopefully return in the future.
