Powder Perfect Fatal Attraction Collection - Swatches & Review

Last week I shared with you some new stamping polishes and a stand alone polish from Powder Perfect (you can see my post for the stamping polishes here and my post about If It's Not Baroque here) and today I have their latest collection, Fatal Attraction, to share with you.

Bittersweet is described as a delicate pink holographic with contrasting drops of teal glitter.  I think the colour of this one is really pretty (both indoors and outdoors).  The formula is great and has a great amount of glitter in it.  For my swatch I used two coats.

Dark Whispers is a strong charcoal holographic with a subtle pink-purple shimmer.  I love this one!  The formula is a dream to work with, the colour is absolutely gorgeous and if you really wanted (or you have short nails) you could get away with having only one coat.  For my swatch I used two coats.

Linger is a navy teal holographic with a contrasting purple shimmer and fine microglitter.  This is another gorgeous polish, and again the formula is a dream to work with.  I used two coats for my swatch.

Moth To A Flame is a dusty mauve-pink nail polish with gold, holographic and iridescent glitters in a holographic base.  This one is a little one the sheer side (I'm guessing it is because it is such a light colour) but is easy to work with.  I think it is quite an interesting polish.  I used three coats for my swatch, however most people would probably be happy with two coats.

Slow Dancing In A Burning Room is described as a vibrant orange holographic lacquer with microglitter and ultra-chameleon chrome flakies.  The formula of this one is great and so easy to work with.  For my swatch I used two coats.

Young & Reckless is a dark purple holo-twist nail varnish with silver flakies.  The formula is great and the colour is really nice.  I used two coats for my swatch.

Overall, I really like this collection.  The colours are so beautiful and the formulas are fantastic.  My personal favourites are Dark Whispers and Linger, closely followed by Bittersweet and Young & Reckless.

Uberchic Beauty Mother's Day Mini Stamping Plate - Swatches & Review

It feels like it's been a little while since I have had some new Uberchic plates to share with you guys.  Really it probably hasn't been that long at all but I have been swamped with new polishes that it seems like ages since I have had new plates.  Anyway, Uberchic have had a couple of new releases lately and I just so happen to have them.  Yay!  We all know that I love Uberchic plates.  I'm going to start with the smallest of the new releases - the Mother's Day Mini Stamping Plate.

A lot of the images on this plate don't really work for me (they all pick up and stamp beautifully) because of the spelling of the word "mom".  In Australia we write "mum" so that kinda rules a lot of the images out for me.  But luckily for me there is two full sized images that are so pretty so I used both of those for my manis.  Naturally these are the types of images I am drawn to anyway and probably would have done the same thing even if the spelling said "mum".

For this first mani I used Emily de Molly's LE43 and stamped using Powder Perfect's Pale Pink Stamping Polish.  This mani looks so pretty in the sun/direct lighting with the holo.  I definitely took my sunshine picture too early in the morning.

For this second mani I could not resist doing a gradient.  I was kinda going back and forth on what colours to use until I was talking to Margaret (@loveslacquer) and she mentioned the Pretty Serious Cosmetics Pastel Pets Collection.  They were all I could think about for a couple of days so I used three of the polishes - Cutie Patootie, Fluffykins and Peachie Poo.  I stamped using Powder Perfect's Black Stamping Polish.

As I mentioned earlier this plate isn't really for me, and that is purely just a personal preference.  The images themselves pick up and stamp beautifully.

L'Oreal Paris Colour Riche Le Vernis A L'Huile Collection - Swatches & Review

I mentioned a couple of days again that I received some a few surprise nail mail packages a little while ago.  Well today I am able to share with you the other package, the L'Oreal Paris Colour Riche Le Vernis A L'Huile Collection.  As you can probably see this was yet another large collection so it has taken me some time to swatch my way through them all.  In total there are twenty shades, however I have only swatched nineteen as one of the shades is a clear polish.  As this post is going to be quite picture heavy I will try to keep my chatting to a minimum.

The Colour Riche Le Vernis A L'Huile Collection is the first nail polish from L'Oreal Paris that is enriched with a blend of precious oils, for the most intense colour and shine in one stroke.  Each bottle also has a wide fan brush with over 400 bristles.  I have swatched each of these with a base coat (purely out of habit) so I can not comment on any benefits that these polishes can have for you nails.  To save myself repeating the same things the formulas across these polishes are good.  They are all easy to use, however they do vary with opacity.

Bleu Royal.  This one you can definitely get away with one coat, however I knocked one of my nails so I needed to add a second coat.

Cafe De Nuit.  I don't feel like this is the right nude for me.  It does apply unevenly so needed three coats for even coverage.

Carmin Parisien.  This one applies really evenly.  If you have shorter nails then you could easily get away with one coat.  I used two coats for my swatch.

Cherie Macaron.  This one is a borderline between a two and three coater polish.  My swatch shows two coats.

Cobalt Indecent.  I quite like the colour of this one.  This is another one that is close to being a one coater.  I used two coats for my swatch.

Coral Trianon.  My swatch shows two coats.

Dimanche Apres-Midi.  The colour of this one is so pretty but it is quite sheen and applies unevenly.  I used four thick coats for my swatch.

Fuchsia Palace.  Nice colour.  My swatch shows two coats.

 Greige Amoureux.  Another really nice colour.  My swatch shows two coats.

Grenat Irreverent.  This is one of those polishes that nearly just look black.  It also looks darker on the nails than it does in the bottle.  I used two coats for my swatch.

Gris Decadent.  My swatch shows two coats.

Jardin Des Roses.   Such a pretty colour.  I am questioning if this one needs a third coat.  My swatch shows two coats.

Moka Chic.  My swatch shows two coats.

Nude Demoiselle.  This one is super sheer.  I used two thick coats over a white base.

Nymphea.  I like the colour of this one.  It is still see through at the tips in direct light after three coats.

Orange Triomphe.  If you have short nails or not mind a visible nail line then you could just do one coat, however I used three coats and found that there was still a visible nail line.

Rose Ballet.  You could get away with one coat for this polish, however I used two coats for my swatch.

Rouge Sauvage.  I used three coats for this one and it does still have a slight visible nail line.

Rubis Folies.  This one I question whether it needs a third coat or not.  My swatch shows two coats.

These are the first L'Oreal polishes that I have ever tried and I am impressed with their formulas.  I am also a fan of the wide brush.  As for the collection as a whole, I don't think anyone needs to rush out and buy them all.  There are definitely a lot of colours that are similar.

Crumpet's Nail Tarts: 26 Great Nail Art Ideas Challenge: Green Freestyle

I am officially behind!  Ahhh!  It's not very often that I fall behind my own nail schedule but I have.  Between my daughter being sick (and now I am sick) and receiving some very unexpected nail mail I have slipped behind.  Never fever, I am catching up again.  This post I was meant to have for you yesterday but apparently I couldn't do any decent nail art.  It was seriously nail fail after nail fail.  Ahhh!  My luck changed and now I have a mani for the 26 Great Nail Art Ideas Challenge: Green Freestyle. 

It is really no secret that I am a huge fan of neon polishes and I just so happen to have a new neon green from Emily de Molly to swatch, along with some new plates.  Naturally I had to use both for today's mani.  For my base I used Emily de Molly Swing Error, and stamped using Powder Perfect's Black Stamping Polish.  Stamping image is from EDM37.

I seriously love this mani and that polish is so amazingly bright!  I have my fingers crossed that Emily de Molly releases more neons.  I will have more details on the polish and plate on my blog soon.

These are the remaining themes for this challenge.  I can't believe we are nearly half way through.  Fingers crossed I can keep up for this rest of the challenge.

Sally Hansen Color Therapy Collection - Swatches & Review

My delivery guy likes to come first thing in the morning which I really like.  It means that I don't have to spend my day waiting for a delivery if I know that it is "on board for delivery today".  Anyway, I knew that I was expecting a delivery with some polishes that I ordered, however when I got home from taking my daughter to school there was two packages waiting for me on my doorstep.  I couldn't work out for the life of my what I had ordered that would require such a large box.  Well the answer was nothing because the large box was some surprise nail mail with the new Sally Hansen Color Therapy Collection.

Sally Hansen's Color Therapy Collection consists of fourteen shades with a blend of complex natural argan, acai and evening primrose oil to condition weak and dry nails.  Now I haven't worn any of these shades for an extended period of time (and I also used a regular base coat with these which I am assuming you are not meant to do) so I can't really comment on the benefits that these polishes may or may not have.  I will be focusing on the colours and their formulas.

Aura'nt You Relaxed? is described as a vibrant coral creme.  This one was easy to use.  I did two coats, however I do question whether or not I should have done a third.

Blushed Petal is a blush toned nude.  The formula is easy to use but it is definitely on the sheer side.  I am not sure if I am a fan of this tone on me.  I used three coats for my swatch.

Chai On Life is described as a taupe.  Now this one I like.  The formula is good and the colour is nice.  I used two coats for my swatch.

Mud Mask is described as an earthy mocha brown.  This one took me by surprise.  I really wasn't expecting to like it on me but I do.  The formula is great and applies evenly.  My swatch shows two coats.

Ohm My Magenta is described as a reddish-purple.  I really like this one.  The colour is great and so is the formula.  I can see me wearing this in the cooler weather (that is most definitely coming for Melbourne).  My swatch shows two coats.

Pampered In Pink is described as a punchy pink.  This one is easy to use and is a nice colour.  My swatch shows two coats but I am questioning if I should do a third coat or not.

Powder Room is described as a pearlescent blushed nude.  I'm not a fan of this one.  It is easy to use but there are very visible brush strokes (they are more noticeable in person than they look in my picture.  My swatch shows three coats.

Primrose And Proper is described as a delicate medium pink hue.  This one does apply uneven on the first coat and needed three coats for even coverage.  I think I like the colour of this one.  I'm a little on the fence though.

Red-y To Glow is described as a medium cerise tint.  I'm glad that they call this a tint because it is definitely not a creme.  It applies evenly but still has a slight visible nail line after three coats.

Rosy Quartz is described as a classic pale pink.  This polish is super sheer.  I'm not even sure if you could build it up to be opaque.  Personally I am not sure why anyone would want or need a polish like this.  You wouldn't be able to see any colour on your nails.  Anyway, this one does apply unevenly but the formula is easy to work with.  My swatch shows two coats over a white base.

Slicks And Stones is described as a crystallized purple.  Now this one looks quite pretty in the bottle and in certainly lights but for the most part it just looks like a really dark (nearly black) creme.  The formula is great and is close to a one coater.  I did use two coats for my swatch.  You may experience some staining with this polish.  I used a base coat with mine and didn't experience any staining, however Margaret (@loveslacquer over on Instagram) found that this polish stained her polish mat.  Acetone will not remove it so definitely wear a base coat with this polish.

Soothing Sapphire is described as a saturated blue jewel tone.  This polish is super glossy before top coat and easy to use.  I do like the colour of this one, particularly for the cooler months.  For this swatch I used two coats.

Teal Good is described as a cerulean creme.  I wore this polish as a full mani as I really like the colour.  Unfortunately, this one did cause some minor staining where there was no base coat (closer around my cuticle line.  I definitely recommend using a base coat with this one or you will end up with stained nails.  The formula is great and the polish is opaque in two coats.

Therapewter is described as a deep charcoal metallic.  I think this is a pretty interesting polish.  It is a little sheer and I found that it dried quite slowly.  I used three coats for my swatch.

As I mentioned earlier I can't comment on the benefits of these polishes to the health of your nails, however there are definitely at least two polishes in this collection that I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND using a base coat (which honestly defeats the purpose of this collection).  I can't say that the colours in this collection excite me that much.  My picks would be Ohm My Magenta, Chai On Life, Soothing Sapphire and Teal Good.
