B Loves Plates B.05 Let It Snow Stamping Plate - Swatches & Review

Wednesday, 20 March 2019

I'm seriously loving this whole shop from my own collection thing.  I have some great stuff in my collection that has gone unloved for way to long.  It's definitely nice to be changing that lately.  Today I have dug out yet another B Loves Plates to share with you guys - B.05 Let It Snow.

Image from B Loves Plates
For this first mani I kept it really simply - because this image can speak for itself.  I think these are such pretty snowflakes.  For my base I used China Glaze New Birth and stamped using Colour Alike B A Blue Sky.

I definitely was craving some colour and what is better than smooshing the entire Pretty Serious Cosmetics Pastel Pets Collection together?  Nothing.  I will forever love this collection.

I really like this stamping plate.  I think there are some gorgeous images.  I do wish that some of the images weren't quite so big because I feel like I lose a lot of it on my nails.  I imagine that lots of other people with shorter nails would really struggle with some of these images.

B Loves Plates B.06 Classy & Chic Stamping Plate - Swatches & Review

Saturday, 9 March 2019

I'm really loving shopping my collection at the moment.  If you haven't done the same thing in your collection then I highly recommend it.  It's crazy how many things that I am rediscovering in my collection and I really have only just started looking!  Anyway, I have rediscovered B Loves Plates Classy & Chic stamping plate so I will be sharing that with you today.  I have actually used this plate a few times since getting it but most of the manis are buried somewhere on IG.  It's about time to bring this plate to my blog!

Image from B Loves Plates
This first mani is one that I actually did last year for a challenge mani.  I thought I would include it because it is nice to see what images look like on the nails.  For my base I used OPI Don't Pretzel My Buttons and stamped using Powder Perfect's White Stamping Polish.

I love this next image.  I feel like that I have used it before with a gradient - or perhaps I am dreaming that.  Anyway, for this mani I sponged on Orly Road Trippin', Scenic Route, Push The Limit and Put The Top Down and stamped using Powder Perfect's Black Stamping Polish.

I was undecided if I should post this next mani.  I really like the stamping image but I'm not loving how I used it.  I definitely need to do another mani using this image.

I think this plate has some really great images on it and they all stamp beautifully.

The Classy & Chic stamping plate is available now from B Loves Plates.

B Loves Plates B.01 Geometry Is Perfect Stamping Plate - Swatches & Review

Wednesday, 23 January 2019

Some of my "New Years Resolutions" is to swatch some more of my untrieds and do some more nail art.  While technically B Loves Plates B.01 Geometry Is Perfect isn't an untried of mine, it has never made it's way to my blog so I'm going to class it as an untried.  One day I would like to have all of my stamping plates and my polishes on my blog.  It may not happen but it's the thought that counts right?  So with all that said, let's take a look at B Loves Plates B.01 Geometry Is Perfect stamping plate.

Image from B Loves Plates
I'm pretty sure that if you scroll back on Instagram you will find a couple of manis using this plate (I have had it for a few years now) but this is one mani that I still remember doing.  I love this image.  Looking at this old mani makes me want it on my nails again.  For my gradient I used China Glaze Metro Pollen-tin, Home Sweet House Music and Lady And The Vamp.

If you saw my Emily de Molly post on Monday then you would know that I am obsessed with LE130.  So much so I couldn't bare to take it off to do another nail art mani using this plate (I did have other plans for manis with this plate) so I used it as my base.  I really like how this mani turned out.

I know that this plate is an older plate (and I have definitely had a fair bit of use out of it since purchasing it) but it has some really great images on it.  It also stamps beautifully.

The B.01 Geometry Is Perfect Stamping Plate is available from B Loves Plates.

B Loves Plates B09 Spooky Halloween Stamping Plate - Swatches & Review

Wednesday, 25 October 2017

I randomly remembered the other day that I had B Loves Plates Spooky Halloween plate that I purchased last year, however I didn't receive it in time to actually use (the same thing happened with the Christmas plate despite paying for express postage - B Loves Plates express post takes the same amount of time as regular shipping so save your money!).  Anyway, the Halloween plate has been sitting and waiting for me to use it for a year now so I thought it was about time I dusted it off and reviewed it.

Image from B Loves Plates
This first mani I actually did as part of a challenge.  It's a nice simple one, but how can you go past blood drips?  Polishes used are Pretty Serious Cosmetics Absence and Bundle Monster Quasar.

I really felt like doing a gradient for my next mani.  For my gradient I used OPI OPI By Popular Vote, No Tan Lines and Never A Dulle Moment.  Stamping polish is Powder Perfect's Black Stamping Polish.

After pulling out this plate again this year, I'm really not sure why I was so excited about buying this plate.  I am going to guess that I saw a couple of awesome manis from Debbie (Lady And The Stamp on Instagram) which would have sucked me right in.  There are a few good images on here but nothing ground breaking.  I think there are better Halloween plates available.

The Spooky Halloween stamping plate is available from B Loves Plates.

B Loves Plates B.08 Feather Fever Stamping Plate - Swatches & Review

Tuesday, 23 May 2017

This post has definitely been a long time in the making. Sometimes I do mani either for a challenge or just for me and then I stick it in a folder ready for whenever it is I get around to reviewing the plate the image has come from.  That is what happened with the B Loves Plates B.08 Feather Fever Stamping Plate.  I remember the day that I received the plate I did the first mani with it, and then for whatever reason never got back around to this plate.  I would like to say that this doesn't happen too often but sadly it happens a lot.  I get side tracked with new plates all the time.  I now leave all new plates out and don't put them away until I have finished swatching and reviewing them.  Might seem crazy but it makes me use them quicker because I can't stand having stamping plates laying around.  Anyway, getting very side tracked here.   Feather Fever....

Image from B Loves Plates
This is the first mani I did using this plate.  I remember having lots of issues getting the finer details of the larger feathers in the centre of the plate to transfer.  For my base I used OPI Alpine Snow and then stamped the neon pink and orange stamping polishes from Colour Alike (which I purchased from B Loves Plates).

Now to my most recent mani.  I just got my hands on the Color Club Pop Play Collection (which I will be swatching and reviewing soon) and I couldn't resist sponging three of the colours on for my base.  I used Play Date, All Dolled Up and Party Teal Dawn.   I then stamped using Mundo de Unas Black stamping polish.

Overall I do like this plate, although I don't think it's overly unique.  I feel like I have seen some of these images on some other plates.  That being said, I have had this plate for quite some time so maybe this plate did the images first and other brands did similar ones after?  Who knows.  I do like the images either way.  As I mentioned earlier, I did have some issues transferring the finer details.  I am not sure if that was a user issue, stamper, polish etc.

The Fever Feather Stamping Plate is available now from B Loves Plates.

B Loves Plates B.02 Flower Power Stamping Plate - Swatches & Review

Wednesday, 8 March 2017

I was going through my computer and moving some of my files around when I came across my B Loves Plates folder that happened to have enough pictures for me to do a review of the B.02 Flower Power plate.  Mind you the pictures are all quite old (I'm not even sure when I did the bulk of these pictures) so I thought why not do one more mani and a blog post now?  I don't think I have ever done a review of B Loves Plates stamping plate review before, but I know I have done a couple of their stamping polish collections before.  Anyway, so let's take a look at the Flower Power stamping plate.

Image from B Loves Plates
If you are new to B Loves Plates stamping plates their plates are the same size as those large rectangular plates (think Uberchic and Lina Nail Art Supplies), are sold individually and have different themes of each plate.  The Flower Power plate consists of twenty one full sized floral images.

This is the very first mani I did using this plate, however not the first mani I posted on Instagram using this plate.  Now as I mentioned before this mani is very old and I couldn't remember what I used for it so I went for a casual scroll on Instagram to find that I posted this mani on the 21st June 2016.  Talk about being behind with swatching things.  Wow Tracy!  Anyway for this mani  I used OPI Alpine Snow for my base and stamped using Dance Legend's Blue, Violet and Pink Stamping Polishes.

This was actually the first mani that I posted on Instagram with the Flower Power plate....back in May 2016.  I really have no clue why it has taken my so long to get around to do this blog post.  I am sure I can probably dig up some other really old manis if I dig through properly.  Anyway for this mani I used OPI's Having A Big Hair Day and OPI Alpine Snow.

I apparently like using OPI polishes with this plate.  Not entirely sure how that happened but anyway.  For this mani I used OPI Fearlessly Alice and B Loves Plates B. A Blue Ocean Stamping Polish.

Fast forward to more recent times now, this is that latest mani that I have done with this plate.  The blue polish is OPI's Super Trop-i-cal-i-fiji-istic and the pink is OPI's Two-Timing The Zones.

I like this plate and think it stamps well.  I haven't had any issues with it at all.  I particularly like that it has all full sized images on it.  I actually have a few B Loves Plates that I should get around to using so if there are any in particular that you would like to see me use let me know and I will grab them out.

The Flower Power stamping is available now from B Loves Plates.

Favorite Nail Stamping Polishes 2016

Thursday, 29 December 2016

We can't talk favorites and not mention nail stamping.  It's my go to form of nail art.  It's quick, it's easy (ok so not always easy but for me it's much easier than free handing designs) and it looks great.  All that being said I thought it would be a great idea if I share with you my favorite stamping polishes.  I believe that most of these were released this year, however I am not 100% sure.  They have all entered my collection this year so I am going with it.  Like with my other favorites posts, these really aren't in any particular order.  Shall we take a look?

B.Loves Plates/Color Alike
These brands were new to me this year and I just love some of their stamping polishes.  They stamp well and the colours are gorgeous.  They have been some of my go to stamping polishes when it comes to colours.  Now I realized that I haven't actually done swatches and reviews of some of these so I have included bottle shots and some of the nail art I have done with them.  I promise to get around to swatching and reviewing them next year.

Neon Power Collection.

Perfect Summer Collection

Spring Break Collection.  You can find the blog post on these stamping polishes here.

Bundle Monster
Bundle Monster are another new stamping polish brand for me.  As you may know I was lucky enough to be sent four of their collections to swatch and review.  I haven't quite worked my way through all four collections (I have only swatched three of the collections so far) but their polishes have made it to my favorites for the year.

Electric Glo.  You can find the blog post here.

Weekend Warrior.  You can find the blog post here.

Psychedelic Stereo is from the Star Slinger Collection.

Dance Legend
Dance Legend is another new stamping polish brand that I added to my collection this year.  I now own six of there stamping polish and while I do really like all six, I would have to say that only four are favorites of mine.  I will do swatches and a review of these polishes next year.

From left to right: Pink, Purple, Blue and Mint.

Powder Perfect
I am sure it is not going to come as any surprise that I am going to mention Powder Perfect's stamping polishes in my favorites for the year.  I mention their Black Stamping Polish in at least 90% of my stamping posts, whether it's on Instagram or on my blog.  I seriously love their Black and White Stamping Polishes.  I am also including their Gold and Silver Stamping Polishes as my favorites.  You can see my blog post on these polishes here.

Black (shown on ring and index fingers) and White Stamping Polishes (show on pinkie and middle fingers).

Gold

Silver

Best I am nosey and like to know things, let me know what some of your favorite stamping polishes are.  Also if there are any of the stamping polishes I have mentioned above that you would like to see me swatch and review ASAP let me know and I'll add them to the top of my list for next year.

B.Loves Plates/Color Alike Spring Break Stamping Polish Collection - Swatches & Review

Wednesday, 15 June 2016

Back in May you may have seen this post where I mentioned that I am on the hunt for some good creme polishes.  I have seen a couple of brands with some great looking stamping polishes but sadly they don't ship outside of the US.  But I did find two collections of creme stamping polishes from B.Loves Plates/Color Alike and they shipped to Australia.  Woohoo!  Today I have the Spring Break Stamping Polish collection which features six pastel shades that stamp beautifully over both light and dark shades.

B A Blue Sky is a baby blue creme stamping polish.

B A Ice Coffee is a nude beige creme stamping polish.

B A Lavender is a pastel purple creme stamping polish.

B A Lemonade is a pastel yellow creme stamping polish.

B A Mint is a mint creme stamping polish.

B A Sweetheart is a pastel pink creme stamping polish.

I am so impressed with these stamping polishes.  I mean how can you go wrong with pastel polishes that stamp over black.  You can bet that I will be getting some great use out of these.

The Spring Break Stamping Polish Collection is available from B.Loves Polish (and yes they ship them internationally!)
