Lina Nail Art Supplies Make Your Mark 09 Stamping Plate - Swatches & Review

Wednesday, 28 April 2021

It has been years since I have purchased any Lina Nail Art Supplies stamping plates.  Apparently it was 2018 when I last posted any of their plates on my blog.  As you can image there has been quite a few releases in that time (including other products like nail polish) so when I went to make a purchase from Hit The Bottle I thought I would scroll through the Lina plates.  I have always been a huge fan of a few of their collections, one of which is the Make Your Mark collection.  I grabbed all the plates that are missing in my MYM collection so I will have plenty of swatches and reviews coming.  Starting with today.  Today we have the Make Your Mark 09 stamping plate to share with you.

Image from Lina Nail Art Supplies
When I was swatching Three Hearts Polish Lushess Lavender, I thought it would look amazing with some metallic stamping over the top.  My picture really doesn't do this justice.  It really looks so pretty in person.  I do wish that I also mattified the base colour too.

This next mani was a collaboration with my daughter and her best friend.  They both said to do a neon rainbow and selected the zig zag image of the plate.  This was really fun to wear and made for some really easy nail art.  For my base I used polishes from Grace-full Nail Polish and stamped using Hit The Bottle's As Black As Night.

I am a huge fan of this plate.  I think there are some really awesome images (although I don't know if it's because I have been doing nails for such a long time or not but I feel like I have seen quite a few of these images before).  All that said I do love this plate and can see me grabbing it out again and again.  I really want to use those layered butterfly images.  Just need to work out what it is I want to do with them.  Let me know what you think I should do.

Lina Nail Art Supplies License To Be Sexy 02 Stamping Plate - Swatches & Review

Wednesday, 19 December 2018

Today I have the very last of my Lina Nail Art Supplies stamping plates that I purchased this year to share with you - the License To Be Sexy 02 stamping plate.  I was a fan of the first License To Be Sexy 01 plate (you can see my swatches and review of that plate here) so it made sense for me to grab the second plate as well.  I didn't do anything too fancy with this plate.  I think the images speak for themselves.

Image from Lina Nail Art Supplies
I am obsessed with this base colour (it's Emily de Molly LE114) and I didn't want to take it off.  I thought this stamping image was perfect for it.

Now this next mani I am not sure if I like it or not.  It's not quite what I was going for.  For my base I used Emily de Molly LE116 and stamped using Hit The Bottle Snowed In!

Looking at this plate I think the images are really pretty, but I'm not convinced that I love it so much on my nails.  I think I need to play with it some more.  Maybe that will make me change my mind.

Have you tried this plate?

Lina Nail Art Supplies Opposites Attract Stamping Plate - Swatches & Review

Monday, 10 December 2018

Happy Monday everyone!  I hope you have all had a great weekend.  We had a busy weekend which seems to be the usual for us at the moment.  This time of year is always so busy!  Anyway, today I have the Opposites Attract stamping plate from Lina Nail Art Supplies to share with you.  Given this plate doesn't have a single full sized image on it, you are probably wondering why I grabbed this one?  Well let's talk about it shall we?

Image from Lina Nail Art Supplies
This little butterfly image is what drew me to this plate.  I have absolutely no idea what it is about them but I had to have them.  I didn't really place them very well and I do wish that my nails were longer so that I could fit all four of the butterflies on.  Other than that I am so happy with this mani.  For my base I used OPI Lavendare To Find Courage (which I added Picture Polish G'day Matte to), swirl stamping is from Lina Nail Art Supplies Feeling Shapely 06 and was stamped using China Glaze Admire.  Butterflies were stamped using Hit The Bottle Snowed In.

This next mani was one that I went into with no clue what exactly I was going to do but I love how it turned out.  I think this is such a pretty image.  For my base I used Emily de Molly LE38 and stamped using Hit The Bottle Snowed In.  I wish I had better lighting for this mani.  It looks so pretty with the pink shimmer in the base.

While this plate is full of single images (which aren't usually my thing) I really, really like this plate.  The images are all really pretty.  I'm not sure I can do the most amazing manis with them but they certainly work for simple manis.  What do you think of this plate?

Lina Nail Art Supplies Spooklicious 03 Stamping Plate - Swatches & Review

Monday, 3 December 2018

Today I have this year's Spooklicious stamping plate from Lina Nail Art Supplies to share with you. Yes I know that in a few weeks time it will be Christmas, and yes I am aware that Halloween has come and gone but it's better late than never right?  In all honesty, I have gone back and forth about whether I should share this plate or hold off until Halloween next year.  One of my "New Years Resolutions" was to swatch everything that I purchase throughout this year so that is what I am doing.  Let's take a look at Spooklicious 03.

Image from Lina Nail Art Supplies
This first mani is one that I did not long after getting this plate in the mail.  In fact, it's the mani I wore for Halloween.  I apparently just never got around to sharing it anywhere.  I think that the skeleton image is kinda cute, however my plate isn't etched properly so I had quite some difficulty getting the image to pick up and transfer properly.  This is something I have mentioned in some previous reviews of Lina's plates - the quality is a bit hit and miss which is quite frustrating.

This next mani is by far my favourite mani that I have done using this plate.  For my base I used Emily de Molly Monty Cora, the textured stamping is done using Lina Nail Art Supplies Make Your Mark 03 and stamped using Hit The Bottle Looking For Mr Grey.  The skull image (which is from the Spooklicious plate) is stamped using Powder Perfect's Black Stamping Polish.

I'm a really big fan of this plate and I'm honestly kicking myself that I didn't use it more when it was Halloween.  Especially that layered moon image!  That looks so cool.  I have also seen a heap of really awesome manis using this plate which I will have to draw some inspiration from next year.  I'll definitely be breaking out this plate again.

Lina Nail Art Supplies All About Love 02 Stamping Plate - Swatches & Review

Monday, 12 November 2018

Don't you just love when you are sorting through computer files and you discover swatches of a stamping plate that you have never actually posted a review of?  Or has that only happened to me?  I have had Lina Nail Art Supplies' All About Love 02 stamping plate since February/March this year and I have only just realised that I haven't posted it yet.  I'm really not sure why.  I am going to guess that I have just bumped the post for other new things that have come in and then I must have just forgotten about it....until now.

Image from Lina Nail Art Supplies
Now a couple of these manis I did a little while ago so you may have already seen them.  Sorry but I thought it would be good to still do an actual review of this plate.

This first mani I did as part of the 31DC2018 challenge (wow that feels like it was so long ago now but really it's just over a month).  Anyway, for this mani I used China Glaze Haute Blooded and Powder Perfect's Black Stamping Polish.

The second mani I did using this plate also happened to be for the 31DC2018.  I didn't even realize that I used the same plate twice in that challenge.  For this mani I used China Glaze You're Too Sweet (over OPI Getting Nadi On My Honeymoon) and stamped using Hit The Bottle Snowed In.  This mani looked better in person than it does it pictures.

I think this is a nice plate for Valentine's manis but for the most part I can't really see myself grabbing for it a lot.  It does pick up and transfer well.  Have you picked up this plate?

Lina Nail Art Supplies Make Your Mark 08 Stamping Plate - Swatches & Review

Sunday, 28 October 2018

Happy Sunday everyone!  I hope you are having a lovely weekend so far.  It's been a busy (and tiring) weekend for us.  My daughter and her team competed in the State Pennant for gymnastics yesterday.  The girls did really well and came 2nd on floor, 3rd on fault and 4th overall.  I'm so proud of how well they have all done throughout all of their competitions, especially the State Pennant.  The competition was definitely a lot tougher and with more girls than ever before.  Anyway, I'm sure you aren't here to hear about my daughter's gymnastics.  Let's talk about one of the new Lina Nail Art Supplies plates - Make Your Mark 08.  I do have a few of the other new plates that were recently released as well but I will be sharing those at a later date (aka when I have had a chance to swatch them).

Image from Lina Nail Art Supplies

I was swatching my way through piCture pOlish polishes I purchased earlier this year the day that this plate arrived.  As soon as I saw this leaf design I knew it would be perfect with Cactus.  I love how this mani turned out.  Yes it's simple, but it's so pretty.  I think this image would also look great with a multi coloured base too.

Along with this plate I was also sent some of the new stamping polishes from Hit The Bottle.  I had them sitting in my polish racks to swatch and thought that these colours would make for a great base.  Polishes used are Hit The Bottle Peaches N' Scream, Slime After Slime, Banana Colada and As Black As Night.

I really like this delicate print.  I think it's really pretty.  For my base I used China Glaze Deliciously Wicked and stamped using Hit The Bottle Beware The Bates Motel.

Oh layered images - how I love and hate you at the same time.  It's been quite some time since I have done a layered mani and definitely an even longer time since I have used a Lina plate for a layered mani.  I know this isn't perfect (like I said it's been a long time lol) but I still quite like how it turned out.  For this mani I used Emily de Molly Bright Retreat for my base and stamped using Hit The Bottle Slime After Slime and Powder Perfect Metallic Green Stamping Polish.

This next image gives my oil spill vibes.  I don't know why but it does.  Anyway, I am definitely disappointed with this image.  I don't think that it is etched properly.  I couldn't pick it up whole.  It had parts always missing.  I tried the usual swiping at different angles, pressure etc and with multiple stamping polishes and it was the same issue over and over.  I also used the same stamper that I have used for all of the other manis in the post (and thousands before) so it's definitely a fault with the plate.  For this mani I used Pretty Serious Cosmetics Absence and Colour Alike B An Orion.

My thoughts on this plate - I really like it.  I think there are some really great designs on this plate and I can see myself using it a fair bit.  I am disappointed that I had some much trouble with that one image.  I am hoping it's just the one image and not others on this plate but I guess time will tell.  This definitely isn't the first time that I have had issues with some of the images on a Lina plate.  Let me know if you have this plate and if you also had issues with the image in the bottom left corner.

The Make Your Mark 08 Stamping Plate is available now from Hit The Bottle and Lina Nail Art Supplies.

Lina Nail Art Supplies Spooklicious 02 Stamping Plate - Swatches & Review

Thursday, 18 October 2018

I was going through my blog planner the other day when I realized that I hadn't put in Lina Nail Art Supplies Spooklicious 02 Stamping Plate.  I picked this plate up last year but I didn't get a chance to play with it before Halloween.  I can't remember if it was because I had other things going on or if it was a matter that the plate didn't arrive in time.  It really doesn't matter, I am swatching it today!  Woohoo!

Image from Lina Nail Art Supplies
For my first mani I used this really fine bone image.  I really like that it just looks like a regular patterned image, until you look closely.  I think it's so cool and great if you don't a mani that screams Halloween!  For my base I used Pretty Serious Cosmetics Cutie Patootie, Peachie Poo and Smoochie.

There is something about this next image that was saying Saw (the movie) to me.  I have no clue if that is what it was going for but I went with it.  For my base I used China Glaze Ruby Pumps (which I love!  There is something magical about this polish) and stamped using Hit The Bottle Snowed In.

I think that this is a really cool Halloween plate.  There are quite a few images on here that I really like and I think could make for some really cool manis!  What do you think of this plate?

Lina Nail Art Supplies You're A Damasque 02 Stamping Plate - Swatches & Review

Monday, 13 August 2018

My pile of Lina Nail Art Supplies plates that I need to swatch is tiny now.  I only have two more plates to swatch (the All About Love 02 plate and Spookilious 02 - which obviously I won't be using until October).  I don't know about you guys but it feels nice to use all the things that you have purchased. That being said, I do have a bunch of new polishes to swatch.  There will definitely be plenty of blog posts coming.  I also would love to go through my polish drawers and use some of the untrieds that I have had for years.  How awesome would it be to say that you have no untrieds?  That might have to become a goal for me at some point I think.  Anyway, today I have the You're A Damasque 02 Stamping Plate from Lina Nail Art Supplies to share with you.

Image from Lina Nail Art Supplies
This mani I actually did a very long time ago.  If I am honest, I didn't actually remember that I had done one until I saw the mani sitting in the folder.  Polishes used are Grace-full Nail Polish Divine Ametrine and Essie Nothing Else Metals.

This next mani didn't quite work out the way that I had hoped.  Let's just pretend that this is a beautifully blended gradient shall we?  Polishes used are Pretty Serious Cosmetics Presence and Dance Legend Stamping Polishes in Blue and Mint.

I think I have come to the conclusion that I don't particularly love Damasque designs on my nails.  I really like the look and idea of this plate, but I don't think the images are translating to my nails the way that I would like.   What do you think of this Damasque stamping plate?

Lina Nail Art Supplies Dress Your Nails 02 Stamping Plate - Swatches & Review

Monday, 23 July 2018

I don't know about you guys but it seems like a little while between Lina Nail Art Supplies' releases, or is it just me?  I know I still have a few of their plates waiting for me to swatch and review but those I have had since one of the releases from the start of the year (yes I know - I need to get around to getting through all my things I have purchased).  Anyway, in the most recent release is the second addition to the Dress Your Nails stamping plates.  I have previously reviewed the first plate here and today I have the second plate to share with you.

Image from Lina Nail Art Supplies
This first mani is a very simple one.  For my base I used OPI Pink Ladies Rule The School and stamped using Hit The Bottle Snowed In!

Another simple one (I do quite like simple manis).  My base is OPI Hopelessly Devoted and stamping polish is Hit The Bottle Rose Gold Glow.  As this is a metallic stamping polish is doesn't come across as pretty as it looks in person.

Skittle manis like this seem to be my go to at the moment.  Polishes used are OPI Was It All Just A Dream, Solitaire and Hit The Bottle Snowed In.

I received two pink stamping polishes to swatch and I thought they looked really pretty together.  Polishes used are OPI Meet A Boy Cute As Can Be, Hit The Bottle Join The Cerise Force and Having A Quiet Pink.

This is probably my favourite of the manis that I have done using this plate.  Polishes used are Pretty Serious Cosmetics Fluffykins, Dollface, Peachy Poo and Chicky.

Overall I really like this plate.  There are so many great images that I can see myself using time and time again.  They all stamp beautifully as well.

Dress Your Nails 02 stamping plate is available now from Lina Nail Art Supplies and Hit The Bottle.

Lina Nail Art Supplies 4 Seasons - Spring 02 Stamping Plate - Swatches & Review

Monday, 23 April 2018

Another day, another stamping plate review.  My swatch racks are looking rather empty at the moment (I'm just as shocked as you are!) but my pile of stamping plates seems to be growing by the second.  Prepare yourself for lots of stamping plate posts in the next few weeks.  Anyway, today I have swatches and a review of Lina Nail Art Supplies 4 Seasons - Spring 02 stamping plate to share with you.

Image from Lina Nail Art Supplies
I love the simplicity of both this image and mani.  Polishes used are Orly Road Trippin and a pink stamping polish from Ya Qin An.

There is something about this next image that made me want to break out some of the Pastel Pets from Pretty Serious Cosmetics.  Polishes used are Doodle Bug, Bunny Foo Foo, Cutie Patootie and Fluffykins.

I think that this is a nice plate, but nothing over the top exciting.  I feel like some of these images are on other plates or are just really similar to other images from other plates.

The Make Your Mark 07 Stamping Plate is available now from Lina Nail Art Supplies and Hit The Bottle.

Lina Nail Art Supplies Make Your Mark 07 Stamping Plate - Swatches & Review

Thursday, 19 April 2018

It's time for another Lina Nail Art Supplies post.  I will try and keep these posts spaced apart a little but I just have so many of them still and I need to get through them all.  I wouldn't be surprised if more Lina plates are released very, very soon.  Anyway, today I have the Make Your Mark 07 stamping plate to share with you.

Image from Lina Nail Art Supplies
I really loved the look of this stripey image but was undecided on what colours to use with it.  I think a gradient would look awesome with this image but instead I used a multichrome polish over black and I love it!  It's been one of those manis that I can't stop looking it.  It shifts to so many colours (more than I can capture).  Polishes used are Pretty Serious Cosmetics Absence and Colour Alike B A Lagoon.

The sun decided to grace us with it's presence again so I thought what a perfect time to break out some holos.  For this mani I used all Hit The Bottle polishes - As Black As Night, A Glint Of Gold, Musk Have The Holo, Amethyst Sizzle, Hololulu Blue and Turquatic.

I do really like this plate but have found that a few of these images are actually on other plates that I already own so that is a little disappointing.  Maybe I have come to that point in the nail world where I have "seen it all" and nothing seems "new" anymore.  Does anyone else have this feeling?

The Make Your Mark 07 Stamping Plate is available now from Lina Nail Art Supplies and Hit The Bottle.

Lina Nail Art Supplies In Motion 03 Stamping Plate - Swatches & Review

Sunday, 15 April 2018

There is definitely one big downside to buying a bulk lot of stamping plates - they take forever to get through!  I blame Lina Nail Art Supplies for releasing so many plates at the same time.  I am making my way through the plates I have purchased (slowly).  I only have four more plates to swatch after today.  Woohoo!  Today I have In Motion 03 to share with you.

Image from Lina Nail Art Supplies
I went for a simple gradient stamping for this first mani.  For my base I used Grace-full Nail Polish Kissed By A Rose Quart and stamped using Hit The Bottle's A Flock Of Seagulls and Looking For Mr Grey.

I couldn't go past this butterfly image.  I do love a good butterfly image!  This one is pretty awesome just because it is so different from the standard butterfly image.  For my background I used China Glaze That's Shore Bright, That'll Peach You, I'll Pink To That and Werk It Honey!.

I'm a really big fan of this plate.  I think there are some really awesome images.  I do wish that the image on the bottom of the plate was full sized though.  I think it would make for a pretty great mani.

The In Motion 03 Stamping Plate is available now from Lina Nail Art Supplies and Hit The Bottle.

Lina Nail Art Supplies Totally Negative 02 Stamping Plate - Swatches & Review

Sunday, 1 April 2018

Happy Easter everyone!  I hope that the Easter Bunny stopped by and left behind some goodies for you.  You can never go wrong with chocolate in my opinion.  Today I have another Lina Nail Art Supplies stamping plate for you.  It feels like it has been ages since I have posted any Lina plates and I have heaps of them in my "to swatch" pile.  I seriously need more time in the day for nails!  Anyway, today I have the Totally Negative 02 Stamping Plate to share with you.

Image from Lina Nail Art Supplies
If you have been following me for a while then you will have probably noticed that I am a little bit obsessed with these multicoloured sponged backgrounds (you can see how I do them in this post here).  Negative space images are perfect for this type of background so both of my manis are this style.

For this first mani I used the entire Hit The Bottle Pour Some Neon On Me Collection and stamped using their As Black As Night stamping polish.

I love this next mani.  You can bet you will be seeing this polish combination a lot more.  Polishes used are China Glaze Flip Flop Fantasy, Thistle Do Nicely, I'll Pink To That and Bottoms Up.  Stamping polish is Hit The Bottle As Black As Night.

I am a huge fan of this plate.  In fact, I would say that the Totally Negative plates are among some of my favourite Lina plates!

The Totally Negative 02 Stamping Plate is available now from Lina Nail Art Supplies.  I purchased mine from Hit The Bottle.
