Emily de Molly Hella Handmade Creations May 2018 - Swatches & Review

Sunday, 13 May 2018

Continuing on with the latest polishes for this month's Hella Handmade Creations, I have Emily de Molly's polish.  This polish is inspired by Astro Boy.

Light Rays is a steel blue holo with gold shimmer and silver micro glitters.  The gold shimmer may give this polish a green appearance in some lights.  This polish is really pretty.  The formula is great and easy to use, however it is a little on the sheer side (well for me personally it is).  I used three coats for my swatch as I found it a little see through at the tips.  I imagine that most people would stop at two coats.

Emily de Molly really kills me with their polishes.  There are so many awesome polishes and this one is added to that list of awesome polishes.

Light Rays is available for presale on May 14th at 12am EST until May 21st 12am Hawaiian time from Hella Handmade Creations.

Grace-full Nail Polish Hella Handmade Creations May 2018 - Swatches & Review

Saturday, 12 May 2018

The release of this month's Hella Handmade Creations is just a matter of days away and I have two of the polishes to share with you.  Today I have Grace-full Nail Polish's creation to share with you and tomorrow I will have the polish from Emily de Molly.

You Make Me Quiver is a deep emerald green linear holo with lighter green flecks of shimmer through.  This polish is such a nice deep colour.  The formula is awesome.  You could easily get away with one coat.  My swatch shows two coats.

I'm personally not one to wear green nail polishes but I can see me using this more for nail art.  It's such a great deep colour.

You Make Me Quiver is available for presale on May 14th at 12am EST until May 21st 12am Hawaiian time from Hella Handmade Creations.

Femme Fatale Cosmetics Hella Holo Customs Exclusives - Swatches & Review

Thursday, 25 May 2017

I am sooooo close to swatching all of the Femme Fatale Cosmetics polishes that I purchased last year.  I have one more collection and a random exclusive polish and that is another box ticked!  I love making lists and being able to mark things off.  Anyway, today I have the three Hella Holo Custom exclusive polishes that were released last year (I want to say it was earlier in the year but really I have no clue).  While there is only three polishes is post is definitely on the picture heavy side of things.

Cry Of The Red Sky is green-grey forest base, red overlay and red shimmers, scattered holo flakes and linear holo.  I think this is a really nice colour, and the formula is pretty good.  It applies evenly and is opaque in three coats.

Iridial is described as milky storm-grey base filled with silver holo microglitter in various sizes, green/red/gold crystalline flakes (that have colour-shifts) plus fine red sparkles and fine red flakes.  This one is really sheer.  I don't even think it's possible to build it up to be opaque.  I did one coat over white, but I think I should have used this over a darker base.

Unicorn Treasure Trove is described as lavender holo base with gold sparkles, fine gold flakes, silver holo microglitter and fine holo gold microglitter.  I think this one is really pretty and easy to use.  My swatch shows three coats.

Overall I like these three polishes but I don't love them.  My personal favourites of these are Cry Of The Red Sky and Unicorn Treasure Trove.

Did you pick up any of these polishes when they were available?

Bruised Rose has a blackberry holographic base with flickering fuchsia to blue flakies.  This polish is really pretty and easy to use.  It does apply a little unevenly on the first coat but evens out beautifully on the second coat.  My swatch shows two coats.

Rainbow Dragon is a holographic polish disguised as an aqua gemstone with blue, green and purple ultra chrome flakies.  This one is definitely a favorite of mine.  It's easy to use, plus it looks great in all lighting.  For my swatch I used three coats.

Seriously how gorgeous are these polishes?  I would have to say that my favorite is Rainbow Dragon.  I mean how can I go past flakies and holo?

Emily de Molly Hella Holo Customs - Swatches & Review

Monday, 27 June 2016

I bet when I said that I was taking a mini blogging break that you weren't expecting me to post the very next day.  This is a post that couldn't wait though.  It is a little time sensitive.  Emily de Molly is one of the guest makers for this month's Hella Holo Customs.  These three polishes are only available for the month of June (hence why they are time sensitive) and are only available for members of the Hella Holo Customs Facebook group (you can find the group here if you aren't a member and would like to join).  Right so let's take a look shall we?

Desert Rose is a salmon pink holo with green to rose colour shifting shimmer.  Such a pretty colour especially with that shimmer.  Like with all Emily de Molly this polish is really easy to use.  My swatch shows two coats.  It is still slightly see through at the tips in direct like so could probably do with another coat.

Four Weddings & A Manicure is a light beige holo with subtle pink undertones, pink iridescent micro flakes, gold to green shimmer and silver, ultra thin and ultra holographic, micro glitter.  I really like this one for a neutral polish.  Again, it's really easy to use and is still slightly see through at the tips in direct light after two coats (which I have used in my swatches).

Iridescent Skies is a light pink based purple holo with green to gold colour shifting shimmer and turquoise overlay.  This is easily my favorite of these three polishes.  I actually wore it as a full mani and couldn't stop looking at my nails.  Especially when the sun popped out for the whole minute.  It's so pretty.  Great formula and opaque in three coats.

As I mentioned earlier these polishes are only available until June 30th so you need to get in quick if you want these.  Head over to the Hella Holo Customs Facebook page for all the details on how to purchase these.  You can join here.

Grace-Full Nail Polish Hella Holo Custom Polishes - Swatches & Review

Sunday, 15 May 2016

Grace-full Nail Polish have again created some more exclusive polishes for Hella Holo Customs (or HHC for short).  What is Hella Holo Customs you may ask?  HHC is a Facebook page that was created to have custom holographic polishes made especially for group member.  If you are a lover of all things holo then you definitely need to join.  You can find the group here.  Anyway, Grace-full Nail Polish (along with Celestial Cosmetics) has made three exclusive polishes for the group and I have them to share with you today.

Eternal Sunset is a purple jelly with multichrome flakies in copper, gold and fuchsia and pops of holo micro glitter in bright pink and copper.  I am so in love with this polish.  The formula is great and easy to use.  You can get away with two coats of this one, however I do recommend three coats so you can really experience the squishy jelly goodness, plus more flakies.  Who doesn't love extra flakies?  My swatch shows three coats.

Mango Sorbet is citrus orange holo with a gold shift.  Now I am not really an orange fan but I do like this one, especially with the gold shift.  The formula is great and is opaque in two coats.

Unicorn Lagoon is a blue green holo with sparkle and multichrome flakies in pink, gold, blue and purple, and pink microglitter.  I really like this one.  It's very interesting.  My camera (particularly in direct sunlight) didn't want to fully capture it's true beauty.  The formula is fantastic and you could get away with one coat.  I used two coats for my swatch.

Seriously how gorgeous are these polishes?  I am particularly loving Eternal Sunset.  Jelly flakie goodness and with a little holo?  Love it!

These three polishes are available exclusively for Hella Holo Custom members.  Make sure you join the group to find all purchasing info.  I believe that these are only available for a limited time, so grab them while you still can!
