May 2021 Favourites

Monday, 31 May 2021

Wow this month has gone by incredibly fast!  So fast that I nearly forgot to do my monthly favourites which future Tracy would not be happy about.  Although I have really struggled to narrow down my favourites this month so future Tracy probably isn't going to be happy anyway.  So without further ado let's take a look at all the goodness that was May.

Nail Art
This month I have been crazy busy with life and swatching (which now means I have well over a hundred pictures waiting for me to edit) so nail art has taken a back seat.  Boo!  Hopefully I will find some time (and motivation) next month.

Indie Polishes
No new mainstream polishes for me this month.  In fact, I don't actually remember the last time I had a mainstream polish even on my nails.  Although I have to say the new China Glaze collection looks like something that I would like.  Anyway, my indie girls never disappoint!

Emily de Molly May 2021 Releases
Hayley has been really busy this month.  She released some new toppers (which I am obsessed with - swatches will be coming to my blog soon!), a crelly trio and some covert base coats.  Also this month is her May 2021 Release which I love!  Each of the polishes are gorgeous!

Emily de Molly May Limited Editions
Along side the above polishes Hayley also released four new limited edition polishes that are all amazing!

Emily de Molly Facebook Exclusives
Did I mention that this month has been a busy month for Hayley?  This month we were lucky enough to get not one but two new facebook group exclusives!

Emily de Molly No Regrets (Polish Pick Up May 2021)
Last but not least for the Emily de Molly's that I have been loving this month - No Regrets.  This polish was released as part of this month's Polish Pick Up and I love it!

Grace-full Nail Polish Gem Sparks (Indies Down Under May 2021)
This month brought a new round of Indies Down Under and Grace-full made the most amazing polish!  Sadly it doesn't photograph as good as it looks in person - seriously it's gorgeous!

Grace-full Nail Polish Red Lynx
Red Lynx was released as part of the Nook Isle Collections.  This was a great collection but Red Lynx was the polish that stole my heart.

Grace-full Nail Polish Something Wicca (Polish Pick Up May 2021)
Something Wicca was an amazing polish that was released.  Multichromes will always be a favourite for me.

Like I mentioned at the start of this post I'm basically including everything this month but in fairness to me it was an amazing month of polishes.  And June will have some more amazing things coming so stay tuned!

 PRESS SAMPLE

You will have seen that Emily de Molly have a new release coming this week and along side it is some stunning new limited edition polishes.  I have all four to share with you and *spoiler alert* I love them all!

LE272 is a light brown base with a strong violet overlay.  I love the colour of this one!  It's so unique and pretty.  The formula is easy to use but I did find it to be a little on the sheer side.  For my swatch I used three coats.

LE273 is a sandy brown base with silver holographic micro glitters and a strong green to pink shifting shimmer.  Another stunning colour with an amazing formula.  You could get away with one coat (especially on short nails).  For my swatch I used two coats.

 PRESS SAMPLE

I'm sure you are just as excited as I am for today's post.  It's officially time for new Emily de Molly polishes.  We are definitely very spoilt by Hayley.  So many amazing polishes.  I am still working my way through swatching the recent releases (the toppers, crellies etc) so they will popping up on my blog soonish.  But let's take a look at the upcoming collection.

Dead To The World is a dark red jelly base with metallic red micro glitters.  I love this polish!  It's so vampy and just stunning.  The formula is great and applies easily.  For my swatch I used two coats.

Dreamscapes And Visions is a turquoise jelly base with blue/purple aurora shimmer and silver holographic micro glitters.  This polish is another love of mine.  It's such a gorgeous colour and super sparkly!  My pictures really don't do it justice - especially the sunshine pictures.  Because it is so sparkly my poor camera just freaked out.  It's really amazing in person!  The formula is great and easy to use.  For my swatch I used three coats but you can stop at two.

Example Sentences is a light teal blue crelly base with assorted metallic micro glitters.  I really do like that these types of polishes are popping up more and more.  They are so fun to wear.  This has such a fun mix of colours and I really like the base colour.  The formula is great and applies evenly.  For my swatch I used three coats but you can stop at two.

Give Me A Remedy is a dark pink jelly base with a copper magnetic effect and silver metallic glitter.  This one was a little surprising to me.  I didn't think I would like it as much as I do.  It's such a good polish.  The formula is easy to use and is opaque in two coats.

It Must Have Been is a dark base with iridescent flakes and a green/blue/purple/red shifting magnetic effect.  This is gorgeous both with and without the magnet.  The formula is also great and really easy to use.  My swatch shows two coats.

Turning Tides is a pale aqua blue jelly base with pink/green/blue aurora shimmer and metallic silver glitters.  This is another love of mine.  It's gorgeous and so shiny.  The formula is great but I did find it to be a little on the sheer side.  For my swatch I used three coats.

Wasteland is a murky green base with a very strong copper/gold/green aurora shimmer and gold metallic micro glitters.  Now this may come as a surprise but I love this polish.  It is a really cool polish and I am a big fan.  It is a little on the see through side but the formula is really easy to use.  For my swatch I used three coats.

How awesome is this collection?  I am in love!  I would list my favourites but honestly I would basically be listing them all so I will save myself some time.

The May 2021 Release will be available from Friday 28th May at 10am AEST from Emily de Molly's Australian site and from Thursday 27th May at 8pm EDT from the international site.
