Femme Fatale Cosmetics White Witch Collection & COTM - Swatches & Review

Tuesday, 30 June 2015

I can't believe that it is already July.  Where is this year going?  Before I know it Christmas decorations will be up in stores.  They do like to bring them out super early here.  Anyway getting side tracked here, today I have a bit of a two in one post.  I have swatches and a review of the Femme Fatale White Witch Collection and the Colour Of The Month polish from June.  Now I am going to apologize in advance for some of my pics.  Brisbane decided to give me some very wintery days so I have had to rely on my lightbox and my cameras flash for some of the pics.

The Purple Parlour (June's COTM) is described as a sheer soft purple crelly with copper shine, sand and magenta highlights and fine hot matte pink flecks.  Super pretty polish and easy to use.  I used two coats for my swatch.

Heart's Desire is described as a rose-coral crelly with green-gold crystal flakies and copper-orange highlights.  I found the formula of this one to be quite thick but it was still easy to work with.  Personally, I am not a fan of this colour at all.  It reminds me of a very mature lady's polish (if you take out the flakies).  I used two coats for my swatch.

Her Imperial Majesty is described as a soft purple-grey crelly base with pink shimmer and fuchsia highlights.  This is definitely my favorite from the entire collection.  The formula is great and is opaque in two coats.

Hundred Years Winter is described as a muted rose-marsala creme with a turquoise blue sheen.  Formula was easy to use and required two coats to be opaque.

Lantern Waste is described as a sheer navy base with red overlay and red-gold-green flakies.  Again the formula is easy to work with and is opaque in two coats.

Lion's Breath is described as a clear (when warm) to brown (when cold) thermal with golden microglitters and reflecks.  Now this polish is very sheer in colour.  I used three coats but there is still a slight visible nail line so I could probably do with a forth.  I wouldn't wear this polish if I had longer nails as it would become too thick and wouldn't look good at all.

Moonlight Statues is described as a berry jelly base with blue overlay, and silver microglitters.  I quite like this one.  It's not my favourite but I do like it.  I used two coats for my swatch, but I would recommend three coats if you have longer nails as there is a slight visible nail line which isn't too obvious on my short nails.

The First Northern Witch is described as a sheer grey crelly with sand and silver reflecks and copper shimmer.  Another pretty polish with great formula.  I used two coats for my swatch.

The Secret Of Secrets is described as a is a sheer grey crelly with strong copper overlay, copper to olive metallic flakies and orange microglitters.  It's quite an interest polish and easy to use.  I use two coats for my swatch but would recommend three coats if you have longer nails as you will have a visible nail line with two coats.

Surprisingly, I am not overly excited about this collection.  I love Her Imperial Majesty and think a couple of others are pretty but they aren't ones that I would jump up and down about.  What do you think?  Do you like this collection?

Bundle Monster Around The World Stamping Plate Collection - Swatches & Review

Sunday, 28 June 2015

I'm back!  I am finally back.... I hope.  I have been having so many computer issues lately and it is driving me nuts.  I like plan out all my posts in advance so I know where I am up to (something I have learnt to do with all the nail art challenges I do on Instagram each month) and the whole computer issues has thrown all my planning out the window.  But I am back!

Now today I am super excited to be sharing with you the latest release from Bundle Monster - the Around The World stamping plates.  This collection consists of five plates with various designs inspired from places around the world (as the name suggests).  I absolutely love these plates.  Not only have I tested them all on paper but I have so far used three of the plates for different manis (you can see these on my Instagram page).

How beautiful are these designs?  I really love them and they stamp beautifully.  I definitely recommend grabbing them if you can.  I think my person favorite is BM-XL154. I am obsessed with the designs on it, especially the ones on the elephant's side.

These are available from Bundle Monster and are sold as a five piece set or individually.

Grace-full Nail Polish Ice Princess Collection - Swatches & Review

Wednesday, 24 June 2015

Happy Wednesday everyone!  Hope the week has been treating you well.  I can't complain too much.  I have had a pretty uneventful week, except the whole having to shorten and round my nails thing.  Hopefully they will grow and be back to my regular squares.  Anyway, today I am excited to share with you Grace-full Nail Polish's Ice Princess collection.  This collection is inspired by Disney's Frozen and has a total of ten polishes plus a bonus polish for all orders with four or more polishes from this collection.  Now word of warning, these is a lot of pics in this post so I will try and keep the chatter to a minimum.

Beautifuler is described as a deep pink jelly with ultra fine pink holographic glitter and iridescent violet glitter.  The formula is super easy to work with.  You can get away with using two coats, however there is still a slight visible nail line.  I used three coats for my swatch and I am absolutely in love with the depth the third coat gives.

Break The Frozen Ice is described as a glacial blue holographic that shifts to turquoise green.  Great formula.  I used two coats for my swatch.

Do The Magic! is a deep blue shimmer that shifts to violet.  This polish is amazing.  Pictures just really don't do it justice.  The colour shift is much more obvious in person.  The formula is also really easy to work with.  I used two coats for my swatch.

Ice Crazy is a light grey crelly with a hint of blue throughout, ultra fine silver holographic glitter, iridescent tiny glitters and little flecks of mauve and blue.  This polish is extremely camera shy.  It's actually really stunning in person.  The formula is great and easy to use.  I used two coats for my swatch.

Little Baby Unicorn is described as a mauve super holographic micro glitter with violet holo microglitter in a crelly base.  Easy to use and super sparkly.  I used two coats for my swatch.

My Own Personal Snow Flurry is a white crelly with black, orange, silver and blue microglitter with silver ultra fine holographic glitter, iridescent glitter and silver holo hexes.  Formula is easy to work with and is fully opaque in two coats.

Open Door is described as a mauve holo with violet flakies.  Formula is easy to use.  You can get away with two coats  if you don't mind a slight visible nail line in some lights.  I used three coats for my swatch.

Queen Arendelle is described as a turquoise green crelly with shifting colour from gold to blue to green flecks.  Super pretty, easy to use and builds up perfectly in two coats.

Strike For Love is described as an aqua holo with blue flakies throughout.  Easy to use and only requires two coats to be opaque.  Now this is actually more holo than it appears in my photos, but I was battling with clouds covering the sun.

The Sky Is Awake is described as a turquoise green and sea green holographic microglitter in a jelly base.  It does appear quite sheer on the nail on the first coat but builds by nicely on the second.

And now the bonus polish - Magical Snowflakes.  This polish has a translucent base and is full of iridescent glitter and white snowflakes.  I had trouble getting the snowflakes out of my bottle, but Theresa has increased the amount of snowflakes that are in the polish AND is also sending out little extra snowflakes as an added bonus.  The polish is quite pretty without the snowflakes and you get the added bonus of snowflakes for some nail art.  And who doesn't love nail art?  I used one coat over black for my swatch.

Wow!  Huge post.  What do you think of this collection?  I really like it.  My personal favourites are Do The Magic! (if you can only get one polish I would say this is the one to get), Queen Arendelle, Ice Crazy and Beautifuler.

This collection is being released on Friday at 7pm and will be available from Grace-full Nail Polish.  Don't forget, if you purchase four or more polishes from this collection you will receive Magical Snowflakes and extra snowflakes!
