MoYou London Mixed Polishes - Swatches & Review

 PRESS SAMPLE

It just occurred to me that I have never actually posted anything from MoYou London on my blog (well until Monday's post).   How strange.  I have actually owned a few of their stamping plates for years.  I couldn't even tell you how long ago I purchased them.  Anyway, I have never used their polishes before so it was great to have the opportunity to play with some of them.  Let's take a look at the five polishes I tried.

To save me repeating myself I figure I'll just talk about these polishes together.  All polishes have great formulas (they are one coaters) and can be worn as a regular polish or as a stamping polish.  They all stamp great but I have to say they aren't the greatest over a black base.

Black Knight is a black creme.

Electric Sky is a blue creme.

Ever Green is a green creme.

Flirtatious is a pink creme.

Red Lorry is a red creme.

These are great polishes for both stamping and to wear as a regular polish.  The colours aren't ones I would grab if I had a darker base but they are great over white and light colours.

These polishes along with other colours are available at MoYou London.

MoYou London Trend Hunter 02 Stamping Plate - Swatches & Review

 PRESS SAMPLE

Happy Monday everyone (although maybe it is still Sunday where you are)...it's definitely Monday here in sunny Melbourne.  I am so happy that the weather is starting to warm up.  We had the announcement that we will remain in a Stage 4 lockdown for a couple more weeks and then the restrictions will slowly start to ease....providing that everyone does the right thing.  Keep your fingers crossed for me that our lockdown will be over soon.  Anyway, enough about that let's talk stamping plates - in particular MoYou London's Trend Hunter Stamping Plate.

Image from MoYou London
New polish plus a new stamping polish equals a gorgeous mani.  Polishes used are Emily de Molly Element Of Strange and MoYou London Black Knight.

With the warmer weather I have been kinda craving some brighter polish and what better way to do that than with a neon polish?  The neon polish is from Emily de Molly (my bottle isn't labelled and I can't remember what it is called), the white polish is Emily de Molly Bright Retreat, the black polish is MoYou London Black Knight, and the glitter is China Glaze Night And Slay (which if I was smart I should have taken sunshine pics so you could see the beautiful holo in all it's glory).

I love this plate.  I think there is so many options of manis that you can do with it.  Plus I am such a sucker for full sized images.

Trend Hunter 02 is available now from Moyou London.

Emily de Molly Death Stairs (Polish Pick Up September 2020) - Swatches & Review

Wednesday, 2 September 2020

 PRESS SAMPLE

Today I have the last of the Polish Pick Up shades that I was sent to swatch.  Emily de Molly Death Stairs is definitely my favourite of the two.  It's definitely more my type of shade.  But rather than me talking about it let's just show you.

Death Stairs is a bright purple crelly with white glitters.  I love this shade and this style of polish. Hayley has done a few with the matte white glitters and I love each and every one of them.  The formula of this one is great and it has good glitter payoff.  For my swatch I used two coats.

Grace-full Nail Polish Got My Spook (Polish Pick Up September 2020) - Swatches & Review

Tuesday, 1 September 2020

 PRESS SAMPLE

It's nearly Polish Pick Up time again which means I have a couple of polishes to share with you.  Today I have Grace-full Nail Polish's shade called Got My Spook and then tomorrow I will have Emily de Molly's shade.

Got My Spook is a tri-thermal that moves between burgundy/brown (cold) to red and bright orange in it's hottest state.  It also has gold flakes throughout.  If this polish doesn't scream Halloween then I don't know what polish does.  It shifts between the colours really well and the formula is easy to use.  I did find it a little sheer (especially when it is in the warmest state) so I used three coats for my swatch.

Grace-full Nail Polish Super Secret Boy Band +1 Collection - Swatches & Review

Wednesday, 26 August 2020

 PRESS SAMPLE

Well looking at me blogging again.  I have to say that I am not a fan of this new blogger set up at all.  Hopefully it is just a matter of I need to get use to it but for now it is definitely a lot more time consuming to blog (and time isn't my friend lately - which is a reason why I am blogging less).  Anyway, today I have the upcoming collection from Grace-full Nail Polish called Super Secret Boy Band +1 to share with you.  This collection is inspired by Marvel's league of superheroes, The Avengers.

Capsicle is a purple/blue aurora shimmer base with red and gold chameleon flakes.  This is such a nice colour and those flakes.   The formula is easy to use but I did find that it was a little sheer on the first coat.  It does build up nicely on the second coat which is what I used for my swatch.

Jolly Green is a linear and scattered holo.  It has a chrome base with aurora shimmer in gold/green that casts a green shift over the polish and has chameleon flakes in green and gold.  This is a great colour.   I really love the holo. Like with Capsicle it is a little sheer on the first coat but builds up on the second coat.  My swatch shows two coats.

King Of The Dead is a black jelly base with crystal chameleon flakes in violet/green/pink/gold and a sprinkle of holo flakes. I love the flakes in this one!  They are so beautiful.  The formula of this one is great and easy to use.  For my swatch I used two coats.

Legolas is a super shifty aurora base in a green/teal/navy/purple base.  It has crystal chameleon flakes in purple, copper, green and pink as well as chrome chameleon flakes in green/purple/cyan.  Another pretty polish.  I really like how different this one looks depending on the lighting/angle.  The formula is great and easy to use.  I used two coats for my swatch.

Point Break is a topper with holo flakes and a shifty blue aurora shimmer.  I love this!  I was debating whether to wear it over black but there was something telling me to go for a dark blue and I am so happy I did.  It's gorgeous and has a great shift to it.  For my swatch I used one coat over China Glaze First Mate.

Tony Stank is a deep red full of aurora shimmer.  I love this one!  It's gorgeous!  Am I become a red polish girl?  Hmmm....anyway, love this!  I do wish the shimmer looked more like it does in the bottle when it's on the nail but it is still so beautiful.  The formula is awesome.  In a pinch you could get away with one coat but I used two coats for my swatch.

Triple Imposter is a aurora shimmer that moves through shades of burgundy, pink and purple.  This is a really pretty and shifty shade but boy did I have such a hard time capturing it.  I have no idea why but it just wasn't happening.  Formula wise it is great.  It's easy to use and applies evenly.  My swatch shows two coats.

Underoos is a silver scattered holo with chameleon flakes in red/gold and blue/teal.  I am a big fan of holo bases with flakes.  They are just so pretty.  The formula of this one is easy to use but it is a little on the sheer side so I needed three coats for my swatch.

This is such a good collection with a good mix of colours and finishes.  I am a fan of each of the shades.  My personal favourites are Point Break and Triple Imposter.

The Super Secret Boy Band +1 Collection will be available from August 28th 8pm AEST from Grace-full Nail Polish's Australian site and international site.
