Bundle Monster Blogger Collaboration Set Three Stamping Plates - Swatches & Review

Saturday, 25 November 2017

Today I have a little blast from the past.  I have been working my way through all my untried polishes when it occurred to me that I have a bunch of stamping plates that are untried as well.  A lot that I was so excited to play with but then for one reason or another forgot about.  Please tell me that I am not the only one that does that?  Anyway, among some of my untried plates are two of the Bundle Monster Collaboration Sets.  Today I will be sharing set three with you.

Image from Bundle Monster
BM-XL211
The first plate in this set was made in collaboration with twi_star and has an ocean/mermaid theme.  I'm a little on the fence about this plate.  It's not really my cup of tea but it definitely will come in handy for nail art challenges.
Image from Bundle Monster
For this mani I used Color Club Harp On It and Starrily Ultima.  Stamping polish is Powder Perfect's Black Stamping Polish.

BM-XL212
This plate is made in collaboration with gotnail.  This plate is more my style.  I love the mix of full image designs.

Image from Bundle Monster
For this mani I used Sally Hansen Crush On Blue and stamped using Powder Perfect's White Stamping Polish.

BM-XL213
This next plate was made in collaboration with Kelli Marissa and has an intergalactic theme.  This plate has definitely come in handy for me since I purchased it.  It seems to be my go to plate when it comes to galaxy manis.

Image from Bundle Monster
The first mani I did using this plate I used piCture pOlish Aurora and stamped using Powder Perfect's Silver Stamping Polish.

The second mani I did using this stamping plate I used Emily de Molly LE56 and stamping using Essie Nothing Else Metals.

BM-XL214
This unicorn plate was made in collaboration with nailed the polish.  I am a big fan of that star image in the bottom row.  My daughter also loves the kawaii cupcakes.

Image from Bundle Monster

I wanted a really colourful base for this image so I used the entire Pastel Pets Collection from Pretty Serious.  I stamped using Powder Perfect's White Stamping Polish, although I wish that I used a different stamping polish so you could see the image better.

BM-XL215
Last, but certainly not least, is this plate made in collaboration with de_briz.  I'm not sure I am really a fan of this plate.  It's quite mismatched and isn't really a plate I would use too often.

Image from Bundle Monster
I did cheat a little with this next mani.  Yesterday I did a reciprocal gradient for a challenge and I thought it would be interesting to see some stamping over it.  Ta da!  Polishes used are Hit The Bottle High Voltage Violet, I Pink Therefore I Am and Powder Perfect's Black Stamping Polish.

Overall, I think there are some good images among these plates but as a whole they aren't a favourite of mine.  My personal picks of these plates would have to BM-XL212 and BM-XL213.  Did you pick up any of the collaborations plates?  I also have set four which I will be swatching and reviewing soon.

Bundle Monster Mystic Woods Set Two Stamping Plate Collection - Swatches & Review

Sunday, 15 January 2017

I am super excited for today's post for a couple of reasons, but first I guess there are a couple of things I probably should explain for this to make sense.  One of the big things for me about being sent things to swatch and review is that I like them done in a timely manner.  I hate having people waiting for me (even if things are out of my control) but I also don't like to rush things too much.  Obviously the more things I am sent the longer things take for me to get through etc.  Now if you remember, I was sent a HUGE package from Bundle Monster late last year.  I was lucky enough to be sent the Electric Glo, Weekend Warrior, Star Slinger and Mythos Stamping Polish Collections as well as both of the Mystic Woods Stamping Plate Collections.  I swatched and review Set One last week and today I have Set Two to share with you.  So why am I excited for this post?  Well, not only does this mean that I am up to date with my swatching for Bundle Monster but I also have had a good chance to swatch this collection, which is definitely my favorite of the two sets.  Let's take a look shall we?

Image from Bundle Monster
BM-S181 Leafy Feathers
I really like the looks of this plate.  I did attempt a mani using the top feather image but I wasn't happy with the result.  I'm not sure if it was the colours I had chosen or how I placed it on my nails, but either way it wasn't a great mani.  I will definitely have to come back to it at some point.  I also like the two leafy images on the right of the plate.
Image from Bundle Monster
BM-S182 Mucho Mushrooms
This plate isn't really one that I would grab for unless there was a challenge that needed a mushroom design.  I do like the image that divides the plate.
Image from Bundle Monster
BM-S183 Jerry's Forest
This is quite a cute little plate.  I think it would be fun to colour it in either with sheer tints or to make decals.
Image from Bundle Monster
BM-S184 Unicorn's Home
If you are looking for tree images of different kinds then this is definitely the plate to have.  And it has a bonus unicorn.  Seriously, who doesn't love unicorns?
Image from Bundle Monster
BM-S185 Earthly Medallions
Now this plate is right up my alley.  It's along the floral lines and there are so many options with what to do.  Keep it basic on all nails, use it as an accent nail, gradients, decals etc.  I can see me getting a lot of use out of this plate.
Image from Bundle Monster
You guys may have already seen this mani as I used it for a challenge mani yesterday, but in case you missed that post I thought I would include it in here so you can see the size of the images on my nails.  For my base I used OPI Mod About You and then stamped using Bundle Monster's Kandi Spirit.

BM-S186 Nature's Kaleidoscope
This is another plate that I really like.  It is along the same lines as the above plate and just has so many different options with what you can do with it.
Image from Bundle Monster
This is a mani that started out as something completely different, and failed miserably.   It was then too late for me to do anything else so I went with another quick and simple option.  For this mani I used OPI It's In The Clouds and Bundle Monster's Mercury Baseline.

BM-S187 Sky & Sea
Have I mentioned that I really like these scene type of images?  They really take all the thinking out of nail art and make it really easy.
Image from Bundle Monster
I had a tough time deciding which of these images I was going to do until I decided that I wanted to break away from using pinks, purples and blues (I feel like I have been using them a lot lately).  I decided that something red, orange and yellow was the way to go which made perfect sense for the dragon image at the top of the plate.  For my gradient I used Bundle Monster's Rose Garden, Teepee Tipping and E-tronica.  Yes these are stamping polishes, but OMG they are perfect polishes for gradients!  I'm not sure why I haven't done this sooner.

BM-S188 Butterfly Wings
This plate is hands down my favorite from this collection.  I love butterfly nails, and honestly skip over them a lot of the time because free handing them can be a bit of a pain.  Now I have the perfect solution and my manis won't all look the same.
Image from Bundle Monster
For this mani I did a diagonal gradient using China Glaze's Flip Flop Fantasy, Purple Panic and That's Shore Bright and stamped using Powder Perfect's Black Stamping Polish.  I seriously love this mani!

BM-S189 Life's Boutique
I am a huge fan of the image in the top left corner.  I have used it a couple of times now.  The first time was when I was swatching Bundle Monster's Weekend Warrior Stamping Polish Collection and then for the mani below.  I have also reached for it a few other times but have stopped myself so that I can use some other images.
Image from Bundle Monster
For my base I used OPI Five-and-Ten and then stamped using Bundle Monster's Lunar Lines, Psychedelic Stereo and Kandi Spirit.

BM-S190 Mashup Of Nature
I think you can make some really great manis with this plate.  I haven't thought exactly how I want to use it yet but I will have to come back to it.
Image from Bundle Monster
Overall I really like this stamping plate collection.  If I had to pick between this set and Set One of the Mystic Woods Collection then I would definitely pick this set.  There are more images that I would use - and I really love the butterfly wing plate.  All of the plates I used picked up and transferred the images well.  I had no issues what so ever (well unless you include my nail fail - but that was completely my fault and not the plates lol).

The Mystic Woods Set Two Stamping Plate Collection is available now (both as a set or as individual plates) from Bundle Monster.

Bundle Monster Mystic Woods Set One Stamping Plate Collection - Swatches & Review

Sunday, 8 January 2017

There has definitely been a lot more nail art on my blog this week and I am going to end it with my swatches and review of Bundle Monster's Mystic Woods Stamping Plate Collection.  In case you were not aware there is actually two different sets in the Mystic Woods range with each set consisting of ten square plates.  I do have both sets and am planning on doing a blog post with set two towards the end of next week.  Today I will be sharing with you set one.

Image from Bundle Monster
BM-S171 My Name Is Buck
Do you ever see a stamping plate and think "I need to use this plate/image"?  Well this is one of those plates for me.  I need to use it but first I need to work out how I want to use it.

Image from Bundle Monster
BM-S172 - Floral Bomb
This is probably my favorite of all the plates in this collection.  There are just endless possibilities with how to use it.    You can bet that I will be getting some great use out of this plate.

Image from Bundle Monster
For my mani I decided to go very basic.  For my base I used Pretty Serious Cosmetics Can't Take The Sky and then stamped Bundle Monster's Indikon stamping polish from the Mythos Stamping Polish Collection.  You can see my swatches and review of this full collection here if you missed it.

BM-S173 Mother Earth
Now if this isn't a an Earthy plate then I don't know what else could be.  I really like the leaves and that cute little squirrel.

Image from Bundle Monster
BM-S174 Flower Buffet
Really it's going to come as no surprise when I say that I really like this plate.  I'm definitely more of a floral girl than a leafy one.  I actually used this plate when I swatched Bundle Monster's Star Slinger Stamping Polish Collection.  You can see that post here.

Image from Bundle Monster
I mentioned in a post a little while ago that I really needed to do more radial gradients.  Well, ta-da!  I've done another radial gradient.  For my gradient I used Orly's Road Trippin, Push The Limit and Beach Cruiser.  I then stamped using Powder Perfect's Black Stamping Polish.

BM-S175 Lost Trinkets
I think that this plate would make for some great decals/reverse stamping.  Our weather is currently too hot for me to attempt any nail art of that type so I may need to revisit this plate at a later time.

Image from Bundle Monster
BM-S176 Forest Cuties
I think that the name of this plate says it all really.  I mean look at how cute these images are?  I particularly love that little owl.

Image from Bundle Monster
BM-S177 Geometric Nature
I think there is some great images on this plate.  I think they would look great over a print (maybe in black and white) and then have these images on top filled in with some bright colours....I'm giving myself some more ideas while writing this post.  See inspiration can really come to you at any time!

Image from Bundle Monster
BM-S178 Mythical Scenes
I'm becoming a big fan of these scene type of images.  Really it makes nail art so easy to do.

Image from Bundle Monster
As soon as I saw this fairy scene I knew exactly how I had to use it.  I seriously love how it turned out.  For my base I sponged on five of the Essie Neon's (In It To Wyn It, Mark On Miami, Stencil Me In, Off The Wall and The Fuchsia Of Art) and then topped it with China Glaze's Fairy Dust.  Stamping polish from Powder Perfect.

BM-S179 Woodland Abstracts
I am a huge fan of this plate.  I mean look at all of those beautiful floral images?  I've actually used this plate a couple of times now (and the same image apparently - oops).  I first used the image in the top right corner for my swatches of Bundle Monster's Electric Glo Stamping Polish Collection.  You can find that post here.

Image from Bundle Monster
The second time I used it was to do some gradient stamping.  For my base I used OPI Alpine Snow and then stamped Bundle Monster's Mercury Baseline, Monarch Dream and Kandi Spirit.

BM-S180 Do You See Me?
I think this is such a fun plate to look at.  There are a few different "hidden" things within it.  It definitely would be great to fill in the images on your nails.
Image from Bundle Monster
Overall I think this is a good collection.  For me personally there are a couple of plates that aren't my style but there are some great mani potential within all of these plates.  I had no issues with how any of the images picked up and transferred onto the nails.

The Mystic Woods Stamping Plate Collection is available both as a set or as individual plates from Bundle Monster

Which is your favourite plate from this collection?

Bundle Monster Mythos Stamping Polish Collection - Swatches & Review

Monday, 2 January 2017

I'm back with some new things!  I'm not sure if I actually mentioned it or not but I actually took some time off from nails (I was still obviously posting on my blog and social media but I wasn't actually painting my nails.  It was definitely a much needed break and I am excited to be back!  Today I have the last of the Bundle Monster stamping polish collections I was sent to review for you.  I will leave links to the other blog posts I have done at the bottom of this post in case you are interested.

The Mythos Stamping Polish Collection features six earth tone fall colours, all with creme finishes.  The formulas across this collection are great, and they all stamp beautifully over both black and white.  There are a couple of the darker shades that don't stand out as well over the black, however they are definitely visible.

Annato Clay is a dirt brown.

Arabica is a taupe creme.

Indikon is a sea blue.  This is definitely a favorite of mine from this collection.

Red Sea is a blood red.

Tree Of Life is an emerald green.

Tumeric Sun is a mustard yellow.

If you saw my favorites posts then you will already know that I am a big fan of Bundle Monster's stamping polishes.  This collection isn't going to be a go to of mine simply because I tend to go for brighter more colourful polishes, however these will definitely get a good work out when I do some fall/earthy manis.

If you have seen my other swatches and reviews of Bundle Monster's stamping polishes you can see them below:
