Three Hearts Polish People's Choice Collection - Swatches & Review

Wednesday, 21 April 2021

 PRESS SAMPLE

I have been a bit of a bad blogger lately.  I have had a bunch of pictures (both nail art and swatches) of things that I have purchased and I have been avoiding editing them.  I really hate editing pictures.  But I was sent the new collection from Three Hearts Polish to swatch so while I was editing those I have started editing some of my other pictures which means more blog posts coming soon!  Today we are going to take a look at the Three Hearts Polish People's Choice Collection.

Blueberry Crush is described as a pastel blue creme.  I think this is a really pretty shade.  The formula is easy to use and applies evenly.  For my swatch I used three coats but I think you can get away with two coats on shorter nails.

I was also sent the Flat Matte top coat to play with, so I swatched it over Blueberry Crush.  I like the look that it gives over the creme but keen to try it over a glitter polish or something.  It's not the most matte top coat that I have tried but I still like it.

Fluffy Duckling is a pastel yellow creme.  Yellow polishes are also the trickiest to deal with and this is one of the tricky polishes (I'm guessing because it's yellow and a light colour).  It does apply unevenly and needs quite a few layers to even out.  For my swatch I used three coats but I do think I need a forth as it is still a little uneven (you can tell more in person than in my picture).

Lushess Lavender is a pastel purple creme.  Gorgeous colour and the formula is easy to use.  For my swatch I used two coats.

Mint To Be is a mint green creme.  Super pretty colour and the formula is ok.  I did find that it was a little streaky/patchy on the first coat so I needed three coats to even it out.

Mocha Magic
is a brown creme.  I'm a big fan of this one.  It definitely has the best formula of the collection.  One short nails you could probably get away with one coat, but I used two coats for my swatch.

Strawberry Milk is described as a pink creme.  This one to me is a little more jelly like with it's consistency than creme so it does apply unevenly.  The colour is gorgeous though.  For my swatch I used three coats.

I really like the colours in this collection.  I think they are all really nice.  Formula wise they are a little hit and miss and probably not a favourite of mine.  If all the formulas were are creamy and opaque as Mocha Magic I would be in love!

Three Hearts Polish Poppin' Pastel Collection - Swatches & Review

 PRESS SAMPLE

I can't even tell you how excited I am to share Three Hearts Polish's Poppin' Pastel Collection.  This is definitely my type of collection.  I am obsessed with the colours.  My only issue with this collection is that they don't photograph accurately but that is always the case with such bright polishes.  Now before I start rambling let's take a look at this collection.

Baby Blue is a pastel neon blue creme.  I love, love, love the colour of this one.  The colour is gorgeous and the formula is great and easy to use.  For my swatch I used two coats.

Bubblegum Pink is a neon pink creme.  Again, absolutely love this colour!  And the formula is great.  I used two coats for my swatch (with the exception of my middle finger - that has three coats because I knocked it).

Mellow Yellow is a neon yellow.  LOVE this colour but it really doesn't photograph accurately.  I feel like it looks a little washed out in my pictures.  The opacity of this one is really good but it does apply a little unevenly so I used three coats for my swatch.

Mint Green is a neon green polish.  Love the colour but again, this one doesn't photograph accurately.  The formula is easy to use but it did apply a little unevenly.  My swatch shows three coats.

Orange Sherbet
is a neon orange creme.  Obsessed with this colour!  I really do wish that this one would photograph accurately.  The formula is easy to use but again it does apply a little unevenly.  I used three coats for my swatch.

Purple Punch is a neon purple creme.  Love this colour!  The formula is really easy to work with.  I do think my bottle maybe needs to be mixed a little more as it doesn't seem like its a smooth consistent colour (hopefully that makes sense).  For my swatch I used two coats.

I am seriously OBSESSED with this collection!  I love all of the colours and the formulas are pretty good.  I definitely sense some nail art coming with these polishes soon.

The Poppin' Pastel Collection is available now from Three Hearts Polish.

Three Hearts Polish Birthday Duo - Swatches & Review

Saturday, 13 March 2021

 PRESS SAMPLE

Happy weekend everybody!  I don't know about you guys but I am excited that it's the weekend.  I'm looking forward to sleeping in.  That and we have plans to catch up with a few people which is always fun.  Anyway, to bring us into the weekend I have the stunning Birthday Duo to share with you from Three Hearts Polish.

Birthday Bash is a silver scatter holo polish with purple glitter.  This is a beautiful polish.  I really like the added purple glitters to give it a different look than being a straight holo (don't get me wrong here - I love holo polishes!  It's just nice to have something a little different).  The formula of this one is a little sheer but it is easy to use and applies evenly.  For my swatch I used three coats.

Let's Party is a hot pink linear holo polish with silver holo glitter.  I looooooove this polish.  I think it's gorgeous!  The formula is great and easy to use.  For my swatch I used two coats but it is a little sheer on the tips for me so I am questioning if I should have added a third coat.

I am a huge fan of this duo!  Both polishes are beautiful but if I had to pick a favourite then Let's Party is easily it.  I do have one more collection to finish swatching for Three Hearts Polish and OMG!  I am in heaven!  Stay tuned for those swatches!

Three Hearts Polish Utopia Collection - Swatches & Review

Thursday, 11 March 2021

 PRESS SAMPLE

It's always a very exciting time when new polish brands pop up on the market and really exciting for me when I get to play with new brands.  Three Hearts Polish have been around for a little while now and while I have been drooling over some of their polishes I just never got arrived to purchasing them (mainly because my swatch racks are full!).  But luckily for me Chloe reached out and asked if I would like to swatch some of her polishes.  Naturally I said yes and was surprised with not one but three collections!  I figured I should start my swatching with the latest collection - the Utopia Collection.

Buttercup is a yellow holo.  This is my least favourite of the collection.  It's not really my type of shade and I did find this one to be really sheer.  I used three coats for my swatch but as you may be able to tell it is still quite sheer at the tips.  I should have used four coats.

Dream is a light blue holo.  This is such a pretty colour.  As expected because it's a light shade it is a little on the sheer side.  But it is easy to use and applies evenly.  For my swatch I used three coats.

Misty is a green holo.  This is a really pretty colour.  Again the formula of this is really easy to use and applies evenly.  This is the most opaque of the polishes in this collection.  My swatch shows three coats.

Sweet Pea is a pink holo.  No surprise that I love the colour of this one.  The formula is great and easy to use but it is on the sheer side especially on the first coat.  My swatch shows three coats.

Willow is a purple holo.  Again, I love the colour of this one.  It too is a little on the sheer side but it does build up in three coats which is what I used for my swatch.  The formula is easy to work with and applies evenly.

You may have noticed a few black dots within some of the polishes (they are really noticeable in Willow).  I am not too sure what these are but I am guessing they are just pigments that haven't quite mixed in fully.  I didn't notice this in all of the polishes, only three.

Overall, I do like this collection.  I think there is a good mix of colours and the formulas are really easy to work with, although I do find them a little too sheer for my personal preference.  My picks from this collection would definitely be Willow and Sweet Pea.
