Marianne Nails No34 Stamping Plate - Swatches & Review

Sunday, 8 April 2018

It feels a little like I have come to the end of all my swatching things at the moment.  Never fear - I have more goodies coming and plenty of other things to post about.  I'm pretty sure I am daily blogging for all of April again.  Yay!  Anyway, today I have the last Marianne Nails plate to share with you.  No34 stamping plates is dedicated to unicorns and unicorn related things.  I say that because some how I managed to swatch this plate without using a single unicorn.  Oops.

This first mani is one that you may have already seen.  I originally did this for one of the 26 Great Nail Art Ideas Challenge.  Polishes used are Color Club Tube Top, Darling Clementine, Hello Sunshine and Out Of The Blue, and Powder Perfect White Stamping Polish.

This star image was definitely a must use for me.  As soon as I saw this image I just had to use it.  For my base I used Dance Legend Mea Tulpa (over black) and stamped using Hit The Bottle's Fruit Tingle Collection.

This isn't a plate that I will grab for on a regular basis but I do quite like it and it stamps really well.  I know I have said this before, and I will say it again, I am so impressed with Marianne Nails.  The plates are etched so well and stamp perfectly.  I haven't had any issues.  I will definitely be purchasing more of their plates.  My only 'complaint' with these plates is the backings on them.  Because they are so large, they are a bit more difficult to store.

The No34 stamping plate is available now from Marianne Nails.

Marianne Nails No33 Stamping Plate - Swatches & Review

Friday, 6 April 2018

Happy Friday everyone!  I'm officially one week in to my daughter's school holidays and it has been a good week (but a long one at the same time).  Today I have another one of the Marianne Nails I received to share with you.  This plate is No33 and it features a mix of swirl type designs.  When I first saw this plate I honestly wasn't too excited about it - mainly because I didn't really think that I could do anything nice with the plate.  I have definitely changed my mind now that I have played with it a little.

This first mani I kept it simple mainly because I wasn't too sure how this image would look.  I love it!  I definitely want to use this style of image more with some different bases.  Anyway, for this mani I used SCOUT Cosmetics Invisible Touch and stamped using Hit The Bottle's As Black As Night.

While I was extremely tempted to use a similar style of image as the above one I thought I should mix it up and I am glad that I did.  For this mani I used OPI Give Me Space for my base and stamped using Color Alike B A Blue Sky, B A Blue Ocean and B A Cobalt Kick.

After initially thinking I wasn't going to like this plate as much, after swatching this plate I have changed my mind.  I am a big fan!  I think that this plate can make some really pretty manis and I am excited to play with it some more.

Marianne Nails No29 Stamping Plate - Swatches & Review

Tuesday, 3 April 2018

I am slowly making my way through swatching the plates I was sent from Marianne Nails.  This brand is fast becoming one of my favourite stamping brands ever.  I am so impressed with the quality of the plates.  They are etched perfectly, and transfer so beautifully.  I haven't had any issues with them what so ever.   Well that really sums up more whole review of the plates, let's take a look at the manis I have done using plate No29.

There was something about this first image that screamed simple mani so that is exactly what I went for.  For this mani I used Color Club French Tips for my base and stamped using this Ya Qin An.

I love a good gradient and the Hit The Bottle Fruit Tingles Collection makes for a beautiful gradient.  I stamped using Powder Perfect's White Stamping Polish but the Fruit Tingles apparently have bleed into the white.  Note to self: always top coat a gradient before stamping.

I know I have been saying this a lot, but I love this plate.  It stamps beautifully and the designs are great.  I definitely recommend Marianne Nails plates.  They are fast becoming one of my favourite stamping brands ever.  I'll be needing more of their plates.  Let me know if you have any recommendations of which plates I should buy.

Marianne Nails EYNails No 2 Stamping Plate - Swatches & Review

Wednesday, 28 March 2018

Happy Wednesday everyone!  I hope this week is treating you well so far.  Can you believe that Easter is only a few days away now?  My daughter is very excited and counting down the days.  Speaking of exciting, today I have the second stamping plate from Marianne Nails to share with you.  This is the EYNails No 2 stamping plate.

This first mani to be honest was a complete accident.  I was going for something completely different however my base didn't turn out exactly how I wanted.  I wasn't going to give up on the base though and decided to stamp with a different image.  I love how this turned out in the end.  For my base I used Color Club French Tips and China Glaze Sun-set The Mood and Plurple.  Stamping polish is Hit The Bottle As Black As Night.

For this next mani I was going for a bit of a burnt paper thing.  This is one of those manis that I don't think translated as well on camera, but I still quite like it.  Polishes used are OPI My Vampire Is Buff, Do You Take Lei Away? and Bundle Monster Arabica.

I thought that this mani could also use a mattified verison.  I think I prefer the matte version.  What do you think?

I am a huge fan of this plate too.  I think there are some fantastic images on this plate.  There are a few images that I feel like I have on some of my other plates though.  The images stamp perfectly and I am excited to do some more manis with this plate.

Marianne Nails EYNails No.1 Stamping Plate - Swatches & Review

Sunday, 25 March 2018

Every now and again I am lucky enough to get to try out some new things.  Whether they are new brands, new products or simply new to me things, I like playing with new things.  Recently I was lucky enough to be contacted by Marianne Nails to see if I would like to try out some of their plates.  I jumped at the chance because they have some amazing looking plates.  I received five plates which I will be sharing with you over the next few weeks, starting with today.  Today I have the EYNails No.1 stamping plate.  This plate is full of Spring and floral images.

For my first ever mani using the plates I was sent from Marianne Nails I couldn't go past this floral image.  I think these flowers are just stunning.  I started with Color Club's French Tips and stamped using Hit The Bottle's As Black As Night.  Look how amazingly this image stamps!  I am beyond impressed.

As much as a love the simple black and white mani (I'll definitely be doing this mani again - that's how much I am obsessed with it) I couldn't just leave it at that.  So I did some lead lighting using the neon pink and neon yellow tints from Emily de Molly.  I love this mani just as much!

I think this rose image is so pretty and thought it would look really pretty over Emily de Molly LE89.  Stamping polishes used are Hit The Bottle Calypso Gold and As Black As Night.

I love this plate!  I think there are some really amazing images on here and I know I will be getting a lot of use out of it.  This plate is etched perfectly and picks up and transfers beautifully.  I'll definitely be needing some more of the EYNails plates in my life.
