What I've Been Wearing On My Nails

Monday, 18 February 2019

Occasionally I do my nails purely for me.  They aren't manis that I do for a nail art challenge, or for review purposes, they really are just manis that I do for me to wear.  Even though my original intention was for me to just wear them I am in such a habit of photographing my manis that I thought I may as well share them with you guys.  These aren't going to be in any particular order, just whatever order they are saved on my computer as.  I hope you enjoy.

Dry brush is one of those techniques that I think look so cool but then kinda forget about them.  Oops.  For this mani I used Emily de Molly Bright Retreat for my base and brushed on Color Club East Austin and Modern Pink.  I do love these colours together.

Earlier this year (and maybe going back into last year - time goes too quickly I can't keep up) I fell in love with matte bases with metallic stamping.  This is one of the manis that I wore but I didn't fall in love with it as much as I hoped I would.  I think there needs to be more of a contrast with the colours.  For my base I used China Glaze  At Your Athleisure and stamped using China Glaze Metallic Muse.  Image is from Lina Nail Art Supplies Make Your Mark 08.

This next mani must be a fairly old one because I don't really remember wearing it.  Have I mentioned I paint my nails on a very regular basis?  Manis can become a bit of a blur after a while.  For my base I used Emily de Molly Sugar Coated Memories and stamped using Powder Perfect's Black Stamping Polish.  Image is from Emily de Molly EDM38.

Now this next mani was one of those manis that I could happily wear forever!  I absolutely love it!  It will be in my favourites post at the end of the month.  My base is Emily de Molly The Dragon King (which is being released tomorrow!) and stamped using Bundle Monster (or Maniology as they are now known) BM-XL211.  I wore this both glossy and matte.  I'm not sure which mani I like better.

This next mani (and the mani after this one) will also be going into my monthly favourites.  I love everything about this mani.  The base polish really makes it look like I put in lots of effort when in fact I just painted one polish one.  The base is Emily de Molly The Uttermost and was stamped using Lina Nail Art Supples Mad For Mandalas.

This next mani is very similar to the one above but what can I say?  I am obsessed with the one above so wanted something similar on my nails again.  My base is Emily de Molly Undertones and again is stamped with Lina Nail Art Supplies Mad For Mandalas.

If you have been following me for quite some time then you will know that I love sponging on backgrounds and that I also love Pretty Serious Cosmetics Pastel Pets Collection - put them both together and you have a winning mani!

Now this is a really old mani.  I found in randomly hiding in one of the folders on my computer.  I have absolutely no clue what I used for this mani but it's pretty so I thought I would share it anyway.

This next mani was a super fun mani to wear.  I wore it for my daughter's first day back at school this year.  I wish I took a photo of all ten of my nails.  For this mani (including the nails you can see) I used Pretty Serious Cosmetics Dollface, Poppet, Peachie Poo, Little Duckling, Bon Bon and Funny Foo-Foo.

The last mani I have to share with you today is definitely an appropriate one for this time of year (or I guess technically a little late given it was Valentine's Day last week).  My base is Sally Hansen Back To The Fuchsia, stamping polish is Hit the Bottle Drunk Tank Pink and image is from Pueen 111.

That brings me to the end of today's post.  I hope you enjoyed these random manis that I have done.  It's nice to be able to share them.  I think I will be doing more of these types of manis.  It gives me a chance to use some of my older things.
