Uberchic Beauty Collection Twenty Seven Stamping Plates - Swatches & Review

Saturday, 14 July 2018

Uberchic have been busy with their new releases.  You may have already seen my reviews of the new holographic stamping plate folder and the new Moroccan Stamp Plate (both are fantastic and I recommend both).  Today I have the latest collection to share with you - Collection Twenty Seven.  I seriously can't get over that there is nearly thirty stamping plate collections from Uberchic.  Anyway, let's get into the swatches!

Plate 27-01
There are some really cool full sized images on this plate.  I really had a hard time deciding which images to use first.

Image from Uberchic
For my first mani using this plate I couldn't go past this image.  A couple of reasons - it looks awesome, plus I have been loving skittle type manis at the moment (as you will see in this post).  I thought this image was perfect for a black and white accent nail and I am so happy with how this mani turned out.  Polishes used are China Glaze Purple Panic!, I'd Melt For You and Silver Of Sorts.

Floral images are among some of my favourite designs to have on my nails.  I teamed this image with the gorgeous Blended My Little Pony from Grace-full Nail Polish (it's still one of my favourites).  Stamping polish is Powder Perfect's Black Stamping Polish.

Plate 27-02
This is actually the first plate that I used from this collection.  I love the images on this plate!  I think this plate might be my favourite of the three plates in this collection.  Again, I really struggled to decide which images to use first.  I think the images in the top left corner would look awesome with a multicoloured neon base and black stamping!

For my first mani I went for something really simple.  I think that this image really don't need any fancy backgrounds (although it would still look awesome).  For my base I used Sally Hansen Razzle Dazzle Rose and stamped using Powder Perfect's Black Stamping Polish.

I couldn't resist the large floral image.  I love the mix of designs within the image.  For my base I used OPI Meet A Boy Cute As Can Be, Was It All Just A Dream?, Summer Lovin' Having A Blast and Pink Ladies Rule The School and stamped using Powder Perfect's Black Stamping Polish.

Plate 27-03
Last but not least, 27-03.  This plate is another favourite of mine.  I think there are some really fantastic images on this plate.  I particularly like the bottom row, the swirly images and the images on the top row.  I can see some many awesome manis with this plate.

It has been quite some time since I have done a skittle mani and this is one of my favourite colour combinations in the cooler months.  Polishes used are China Glaze Release, CG In The City and Pretty Serious Cosmetics Absence.

I'm a little disappointed with this next mani of mine.  It looks stunning in person - however it doesn't translate on camera.  In fact, it looks a little weird.  For my base I used OPI Purple Perspective, Indigo Motif, Turquoise Aesthetic and Pen & Ink (all sponged over China Glaze I'd Melt For You) and stamped using Powder Perfect's Black Stamping Polish.

I am a really big fan of this collection.  There are so many great images on each of the plates.  I already have planned so many more manis in my head using these plates - it's exciting!  What do you think of this collection?

Collection Twenty Seven is available now from Uberchic Beauty.

Emily de Molly Hella Handmade Creations July 2018 - Swatches & Review

Friday, 13 July 2018

I can't believe that we are basically half way through July already.  The days are just going by faster and faster.  That being said, it's time for this month's new Hella Handmade Creations.  Today I have the polish from Emily de Molly to share with you.

Mighty Atom is a dark purple to red multichrome base with copper magnetic effect and gold holo micro glitters.  The colour of this polish is beautiful and the formula is fantastic.  I did find the magnetic effect of this one seems to be a little more subtle than some of the other magnetics I have tried from Emily de Molly but it is still pretty.  My swatch shows two coats.

Uberchic Beauty Holographic Storage Folder - Review

Monday, 9 July 2018

Uberchic Beauty have released a new stamping plate holder - it's holographic and it is gorgeous!  I tried to get some pictures of this folder in the sunshine but given it is winter here in Australia sunshine is pretty much non existent.  You will just need to trust me that this baby is super holo and stunning!

Aside from this folder being gorgeous it is so practical.  I personally love that it is like a binder rings that clip open and shut.  It makes the plates feel more secure when they are in the folder.  As it is a ring binder you can also easily change the order of you plates (or as you add to your collection) without having to pull each plate out and reorganize.  I know I have to do that A LOT.

The plates are also put into the folder from the top of the sleeve rather than from the side.  I don't know about you guys but I find that the ones that go in the side tend to slip out when you turn the pages looking through the plates.

I am a huge fan of this stamping plate holder.  It feels high quality and holds the plates really well.  They don't feel like they will slip around as much when you are looking through.

The Holographic Storage Folder is available now from Uberchic Beauty.

Emily de Molly July 2018 Releases - Swatches & Review

Sunday, 8 July 2018

One of my favourite times of the months is when there are new releases from Emily de Molly.  I always love EdM's new releases (well all of their polishes really).  They are always so pretty and you know the formulas are going to be fantastic.  July is no exception.  Now before I start babbling, let's just jump straight into the swatches and review.  Heads up - this post is quite picture heavy!

Dormant Fractures is a dark purple holo with a copper magnetic effect.  I love this one!  Both before and after the magnet.  The colour is gorgeous and the formula is amazing - it's close to a one coater.  I used two coats for my swatch.

Evening Mist is a pale taupe grey with strong turquoise blue shimmer.  I love this one too!  I think the colour and the shimmer are gorgeous and the formula is great.  I used two coats for my swatch.

Made Of Emotion is a red based purple with blue to purple shifting shimmer.  It will come as no surprise that I absolutely love this one as well!  It's absolutely stunning.  I also really like how different it looks in different lighting.  The formula is easy to use, however I did find it a little see through at the tips so I used three coats for my swatch.

More Or Less is a blue (warm) to olive green (cold) thermal with gold shimmer and silver holographic micro glitters.  Another great thermal.  I quite like both colours and they transition well.  The formula is great and it is opaque in two coats.

Perfect Moments is a pale purple (warm) to darker purple (cold) thermal with copper shimmer.  Love this one!  I feel like I am saying that with all of the polishes from this release.  Anyway, this one transitions really well between the shades (and both shades are gorgeous) and the formula is fantastic.  My swatch shows two coats.

Rise Above The Flames is a dark copper that shifts to dark purple at extreme angles, with gold holographic micro glitters.  This one isn't really my sort of shade but I imagine that there will be lots of you guys that will love it.  The formula is awesome and is opaque in two coats.

The Grey Silence is a medium grey with copper shimmer, silver holographic micro glitters and iridescent flakes.  This is another favourite of mine.  I really like the colour and of course love the flakies.  The formula is great and easy to use.  I did find it a little sheer at the tips after two coats (although I am sure that most people would stop at two coats).  My swatch shows three coats.

Time Will Tell is a light blue crelly with copper shimmer and flakes and silver holographic micro glitters.  This polish is limited to one large batch.  It is such a pretty colour.  I really like the added copper shimmer and flakes.  The formula is great and is opaque in two coats.

If you can't tell already then I am a huge fan of this month's release from Emily de Molly.  There are soooooo many gorgeous polishes and the formulas are all fantastic.  My personal favourites (and yes I am aware I am about to list the bulk of this release but I really do love them!) are Dormant Fractures, Evening Mist, Made Of Emotion, Perfect Moments and The Grey Silence.

The July releases will be available on Tuesday 10th July at 10am AEST from Emily de Molly's Australian site and on Monday 9th July at 8pm EDT on the international site.
