Emily de Molly December 2015 Releases - Swatches & Review

It seems odd to be talking about polishes that were released in December last year, but I didn't actually purchase these Emily de Molly's until January this year.  They are too pretty to not sure, plus I am trying to minimize the amount of untrieds that I have (I noticed I have a lot of Emily de Molly untrieds so I am thinking there may be a few swatch spams in the near future).  Anyway, back in December Hayley released five new polishes.  If you follow me on Instagram or are in the Emily de Molly Facebook group then you will already know that one of these polishes just happens to be one of my favorite Emily de Molly polishes ever!!

Empty Journal is a bright blue to indigo foil with blue to purple shimmer.  This is such an AMAZING polish!  Yes I needed that capitals for that.  I am so seriously in love with this polish.  The formula is awesome, the colour is amazing and the colour shifts is beautiful.  Love, love, love!  My swatch shows two coats.

Major Themes is a yellow gold to orange foil with hints of peach and subtle green and green to gold shimmer.  I do love the foil-y look of these but it's not my favorite colour.  The formula is easy to use.  I used three coats for my swatch as I found there was a slight visible nail line after two coats.

Showdown is a purple jelly (that leans a little pink) with gold to green shifting shimmer, iridescent flakes and silver holo glitter.  This polish is a little on the sheer side so can be worn over a base colour to give it a different look (I definitely need to try this at some point in the near future).  The formula is easy to use and is opaque in three coats.

Time Stood Still is a pink creme subtle holo with pink to gold shifting shimmer.  This was the COTM for December so isn't available anymore.  The formula is great and easy to use.  My swatch shows two coats.  I should note that you can't really see the pink to gold shifting shimmers in my pictures, however you can see them in person.

Understatement is a dark red jelly with gold ultra holographic micro glitter.  For some strange reason this polish reminds me of Christmas.  I think it would look great with some gold stamping at Christmas time.  No idea why really.  The formula is fantastic and it's close to being a one coater.  My swatch shows two coats.

There were definitely some really pretty polishes released back in December and most are still available to buy now (there is also some awesome new releases that have just come out that I can't wait to arrive!).  My personal favorite from this release (and one of my favorite Emily de Molly polishes ever) is Empty Journal.  I highly recommend it, especially if you are a lover of blue polishes.
All of the December releases (with the exception of Time Stood Still) are currently all available from Emily de Molly.  For my international readers make sure you check out the stockists to see what is available for you.
If I was to do an Emily de Molly swatch spam post which polishes would you like to see?

    1. It is pretty. I am a HUGE fan of those foil-y polishes Hayley has done. I hope she does more colour variations of them.
