Emily de Molly January 2020 Releases - Swatches & Review

All throughout 2019 you heard me say time and time again how much Emily de Molly killed it with their releases.  Well apparently 2020 we will be saying it again.  Prepare yourself and your wallets because you will be needing some of the January releases in your life!  Like usual, this post is very picture heavy but I think it's worth the extra pictures so you can get an idea of what these polishes are really like.  Of course, polishes are always better in person.

Concentric Circles is a silver holographic micro glitters in a magenta/light red base with a subtle pink/gold shifting aurora shimmer.  Yep - I am in love!  The colour is stunning and the formula is awesome.  If you have short nails you could get away with one coat but I used two coats for my swatch.

Edge Of Your Seat is a dark blurple base with copper to green shifting shimmer and silver holographic flakes.  This polish is amazing!  I can't fault it or say nice enough things about it.  The only thing I wrote in my notes when I wore this polish is "AMAZING!".  For my swatch I used two coats.

Elevate You is a dark purple base filled with metallic turquoise micro flakes.  This polish is limited to one large batch so I do recommend grabbing it as soon as you can.  This too is a really great polish.  I am a big fan of the colour and the formula.  My swatch shows two coats.

Romancer is a pale taupe grey base with a fine particle pink/orange/gold shifting aurora shimmer and silver holographic flakes.  I think it's safe to say that 2020 I am still going to be obsessed with aurora shimmer.  I seriously love it and this polish!  The colour is gorgeous and the formula is great and easy to use.  It is more shifty in person.  I used three coats for my swatch, but you can stop at two coats.

Silver & Cold is a light grey base filled with green to pink shifting foil type shimmer.  I love this one.  The colour is gorgeous and it is so shifty.  This one is definitely better in person than in my pictures.  The formula is easy to use and applies evenly.  I used three coats for my swatch but you can get away with two coats.

Start Things Over is a thermal that switches from a mint green (warm) to a dusty blue (cold) and has pink to gold shifting shimmer.  Huge fan of this one too.  Both the warm and gold colours are gorgeous (and they transition well) and the shimmer is beautiful.  Again the formula is great and easy to work with.  I didn't actually make note of how many coats I used but I have a feeling I used three coats.

Terrible Wonders is a dark brown base with silver metallic flakes and silver holographic flakes.  This one isn't a favourite of mine but I do like the colour and the glitter combination.  The formula is fantastic and is opaque in two coats.

The Devils Side is a dark red base filled with red and blue iridescent flakes.  This will come as no surprise that I love this one.  I love the base colour, the flakies and the formula.  My swatch shows two coats.

I'm going to have to come up with some more creative ways of saying "I love this collection" but I honestly love these polishes.  They are all so good!  I would list all my favourites but I would be basically listing them all so I will skip over that.

The January releases will be available from Wednesday 29th January at 10am AEDT from Emily de Molly's Australian site and on Tuesday 28th January at 6pm EST from the international site.
