Emily de Molly October 2018 Releases - Swatches & Review

There are new polishes coming from Emily de Molly!  I repeat, there are NEW polishes coming from Emily de Molly!!!!  Yes I know, there are usually new polishes from Emily de Molly each month but it is always a very exciting time!  I do love my Emily de Molly polishes (if you don't know Emily de Molly is one of my favourite indie brands and has been for years).  This month there is eight new polishes being released and I have them to share with you today.

Electric Arc is a light neutral holo with silver holo micro glitters and a light blue magnetic effect.  I think that this is a really pretty colour.  I really like it both with and without the magnetic effect.  I did find that the magnetic effect is subtle (or maybe it's the way I use them).  The formula is great and is opaque in two coats.

Glitters Reign is a dark purple base with copper shimmer and silver holo micro glitters.  This polish is amazing!  I love the colour, the shimmer and the formula!  I used two coats for my swatch.

Midlife Crisis is a reddish base with lime to pink shifting shimmer.  I think this is such an interesting and unique shade.  The formula is easy to use.  You can stop at two coats but I used three coats for my swatch.

Sea Of Lies is a blue base with pink/green/blue aurora pigment.  I love, love, love this one!  It stole my heart before I even put it on my nails.  It looks different depending on your lighting and angle, which I also loves.  It's so fun to wear.  I did find this one a little on the sheer side.  My swatch shows three coats.

The Calm One is a dusty peach with gold micro flakes.  This isn't really my type of colour.  The formula is fantastic and is opaque in two coats.

The World Belongs To Us is a teal green base with pink/copper/gold shifting shimmer and copper flakes.  This one is so pretty!  I especially love the shifting shimmer.  Sadly I couldn't capture the copper/gold shifts, however they are definitely there!  The formula is great and easy to use.  I used two coats for my swatch.

Today At Noon is a dark pink holo with an orange/copper magnetic effect.  This is another polish I love!  The colour is gorgeous and the formula is awesome.  My swatch shows two coats.

Version Of A Truth is a dusty lavender (warm) to dusty pink (cold) thermal with green to pink shifting shimmer and silver flakes.  I quite like this one too.  Personally I prefer the warm shade, but the cold shade is quite nice too.  The formula is great and it transitions wells.  I used three coats for my swatch (it was a little too see through at the tips for my personal taste - I am sure most people will stop at two coats).

I really like this month's releases.  There is definitely a good mix of colours, formulas and finishes.  My personal picks are Sea Of Lies, Glitters Reign, Today At Noon, The World Belongs To Us and Electric Arc.

The October releases will be available on Thursday 18th October at 10am AEST from Emily de Molly's Australian site and on Wednesday 17th October at 7pm EDT on the international site.
