31DC2018 Rainbow Nails and Uberchic Beauty Striper Nail Art Brush Review

Today's 31DC2018 theme is rainbow nails.  Rainbow nails are always so fun to do.  I think I have previously only even done a gradient mani for this prompt.  Whether is be a gradient background with either black or white stamping over the top or a white base with a rainbow gradient stamped over it.  Well I have Uberchic Beauty's new striper brush to play with so I thought I would do something completely different - random rainbow stripes.

For my base I used Pretty Serious Cosmetics Presence and then used Grace-full Nail Polish Raspberry, Mango, Lemon, Apple, Blueberry and Grape.

While my stripes are far from perfect (it has been a very, very long time since I have used any form of nail art brush let alone tried doing even stripes) I am really happy with this mani.  The Uberchic striper brush is really easy to use and can do really fine details.  I did have to do thicker stripes because I made a bit of a boo boo on the first nail so needed to even it all out.

I do really like the details on the brush itself.  They make it look really pretty, and I like that it comes with a cap to help protect the brush.

The Striper Brush is available now from Uberchic Beauty.

  1. I completely and utterly suck at freehand or anything to do with a brush so I feel your pain and I think those stripes are incredible. I don't think I have ever done rainbow stripes but now I really really want to! This looks amazing!

    1. Thank you! Freehand is definitely one of those things that just need practice. A few years back when I was trying out freehand I did see an improvement, but then I stopped. Stamping is definitely more my style :)

  2. I really like this. And it's very brave of you to freehand stripes... I wouldn't even dare :D

    1. Thank you. A few years ago I did dabble in freehand (I wasn't the best at it but I definitely improved over the time). It was fun to do some more freehand stuff again, but I will be sticking to my stamping plates :)
