China Glaze Chic Physique Collection - Swatches & Review

I am not going to lie - I started stalking the Head2Toe Beauty website (and every other website that sells China Glaze that sends polishes to Australia) for any new China Glaze polishes since January.  Finally, I saw that the first collection of 2018 is the Chic Physique Collection, and then I managed to get my hands on it!  Huge shout out to Head2Toe Beauty for their crazy fast shipping.  I placed my order and within thirty minutes my order was on its way.  Just over a week later and I had my new pretties!  Woohoo!  Now onto the swatches...

Active Wear, Don't Care is a teal green.  This one has a slight jelly like finish, so was a little sheer.  It also applies a little unevenly.  My swatch shows three coats.

At Your Athleisure is described as a cornflower blue.  This is a pretty colour and the formula is great.  I used two coats on my swatch.

Athlete Chic is described as an apricot creme.  This isn't really my sort of colour, but I don't hate it either.  The formula is great and easy to use.  My swatch shows two coats.

Barre Hopping is an amethyst creme.  Love this one!  The colour is stunning and the formula is fantastic.  For my swatch I used two coats.

Body Suit Yourself! is a fuchsia with a very. very subtle shimmer.  The formula of this one is easy to use and it is a nice colour.  I used two coats for my swatch.

Get It Right, Get It Bright is a purple creme with a pink iridescent glitter.  When I get new polishes in the mail I always first try them on a swatch stick.  I found that this was quite sheer on the swatch stick so I decided to layer it over Barre Hopping.  OMG! I LOVE this combination.  It's absolutely stunning!  My swatch shows one coat over Barre Hopping.

Girl On The Glo is described as a sparkling metallic taupe.  This one has slight visible brush strokes and is a little sheer.  It is easy to work with though.  I used three coats for my swatch.

Glamletics is a periwinkle blue with a very subtle purple/pink shimmer.  This colour is stunning (it's one of my favourite types of blues), however the shimmer is a little disappointing.  You can see it in the bottle, however you can barely see it on the nail - even in direct lighting.  The formula is great and easy to use.  My swatch shows two coats.

Low-Maintenance is described as a cool blush.  The formula of this one is easy to use, however I am not really a fan of this colour on my nails  I used two coats for my swatch.

Pilates Please is a peach creme.  I'm not really too big a fan of orange shades of polish but I really like this one.  I think it's quite a pretty shade.  The formula is a little patchy and needed three coats for even coverage.

Pretty Fit is described as an orchid pink creme.  This isn't my favourite type of pink, but it is still a nice polish with a good formula.  My swatch shows two coats.

Werk It Honey! is a canary yellow creme.  Big fan of this one!  The colour is really pretty and kept grabbing my attention when I wore it.  The formula is uneven so need three coats to even out.

Overall, I really like this collection.  It's not my favourite Spring collection that China Glaze have done, but it's still a good one.  My personal favourites are Get It Right, Get It Bright, Barre Hopping, Glamletics and Werk It Honey!.

What do you think of this collection?

  1. Yet again China Glaze are making me want at least half of the new collection lol. My faves are Low Maintenance (it's rare for me to like a nude polish, but I think this would suit me), Glamletics, Activewear Don't Care (even though I already own a couple of teals), At Your Athleisure, Girl On The Glo & Get It Right, Get It Bright (I've seen it swatched on its own, it's lovely). Might even consider Barre Hopping now that I've seen it swatched with Get It Right, Get It Bright.

    1. There is so many stunning colours isn't there? I have seen Get It Right, Get It Bright swatched alone but it is too sheer for me. I don't like visible nail lines but I absolutely love it over Barre Hopping.

    1. Do you have it? I'm not entirely convinced it works on me unfortunately. It is a nice colour in the bottle though.
