Tweexy - The Original Wearable Nail Polish Holder - Review

Two posts in the same again?  Have I gone nuts?  Possibly.  In my defense, I am in a little bit of a new habit of doing the double posts but don't worry I will be cutting myself back after today.  That I can promise.  Anyway, I was recently contacted to see if I would be interested in trying Tweexy - The Original Wearable Nail Polish Holder as they are now available in Australia.  I have seen these around online before and was definitely curious to try one out for myself.

For those of you who may not have seen this gadget, Tweexy is designed to hold your bottle of polish on your hand and stop you from worrying about spilling your polish.  It is also said to make painting your own nails easier and more fun.  Tweexy comes in seven different colours - Bonbon Pink (which is what my pictures show), Spa Green, Sapphire Night, Purple Crush, Island Blue, California Green and Lilac Dreams.

The first thing I did was tested to see what sort of bottles fit into the Tweexy.  I am happy to report that every bottle I tried fits securely.  I tested OPI, China Glaze, Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure, Femme Fatale Cosmetics (the rectangle bottles) and Emily de Molly.

I did try using this on a number of occasions (on both hands and on various fingers) and to be honest, I am not a fan.  Maybe this is the type of product you get use to over time, but I actually felt like the bottle would come out or I would tip it and spill it whilst I was working.  And how do you paint your thumb nails?  I need to turn my hand to the side to paint it which means that polish would be dripping out or I would need to put the bottle on the table to paint my thumbs which really defeats the purpose.
I should also point out that I actually paint my nails with my hand in the air and not resting on a hard surface of any kind.  That is probably weird but that's what works for me and has for years.

Do I think this product is horrible?  No, but it's definitely not the product for me.  Have you tried this before/would you try it?  Let me know your thought below.

Tweexy is available now from selected pharmacies, independents and home and giftware stores.

  1. I haven't, but I admit I've been curious about this sort of product before. Now that you mention it, I'd be worried about tipping it & spilling polish everywhere too, even though I paint my nails on a hard surface.

    1. I did put a bottle in (with the lid completely screwed on) and held it upside down and it didn't fall out so they bottles are secure. But with the lid off and while painting I am pretty sure I would be spilling polish
