OPI Infinite Shine Iceland Collection - Swatches & Review

While it is officially Spring here in Melbourne, we are definitely still getting a lot of Winter weather.  I am ok with that (kinda) because it makes me even more excited to play with OPI's Iceland Collection!  I know I mentioned this collection a little while ago when I was swatching some other Fall/Winter Collections, but I only just managed to get my hands on this collection.  I am so happy I have it - it is definitely worth the wait!

Aurora Berry-alis is a pink berry creme.  I think this is a gorgeous shade and the formula is awesome.  It is super close to being a one coater.  My swatch shows two coats.

Check Out The Old Geysirs is a greyish blue creme with a blue shimmer.  This is actually the first polish I tried in this collection and I love it!  It's such an interesting shade (I don't think pictures really do it justice) and the formula is fantastic.  Again, it's super close to being a one coater.  I used two coats for my swatch.

I'll Have A Gin & Tectonic is a peachy nude creme.  I am not sure I am a fan of this colour on me.  The formula is easy to use and is opaque in two coats.

Icelanded A Bottle Of OPI is described as a dove beige.  I really like this one.  The colour is great and so is the formula.  My swatch shows two coats.

Krona-logical Order is described as an expresso creme.  I like this colour too.  Again the formula is fantastic and you could get away with one coat.  I used two coats for my swatch.

Less Is Norse is described as a dark ice blue.  Huge fan of this one.  It's a gorgeous colour with a great formula.  My swatch shows two coats.

One Heckla Of A Color! is a dusty purple creme.  LOVE this one!  It's gorgeous and the formula is awesome.  You could easily get away with one coat, but I used two coats for my swatch.

Reykjavik Has All The Hot Spots is described as a dusky mauve shimmer.  I think I like the colour of this one, but wished it was a creme finish.  This one does have visible brush strokes.  I used three coats for my swatch as I found it was still a little see through at the tips for my liking.

Suzi & The Arctic Fox is a dark purple creme.  I feel like I am repeating myself with these.  Sorry.  I am a fan of this one colour (I can definitely see me grabbing for this a lot in the colder months) and the formula is fantastic.  You could easily get away with one coat, but I used two coats for my swatch.

That's What Friends Are Thor is an earthy brown creme.  I'm not much of a brown fan, but I quite like this for a brown.  It's probably one I would use for nail art more so than one I would reach for as a full mani.  The formula is amazing and is close to being a one coater.  My swatch shows two coats.

This Isn't Greenland is described as a moss green creme.  I really like this colour in the bottle but I am not sure I am loving it on my nails.  This one does apply a little unevenly on the first coat, but evens out perfectly on the second.

Turn On The Northern Lights is a deep blue/purple with a strong red/pink shimmer.  This is also a goldy copper shimmer which seems to be more visible in the bottle but you can kinda see it on the nail if you look for it.  You can kinda see it in my macro pic on the sides on my nail.  This polish is definitely the one that I was most excited about in this collection and it didn't disappoint me at all.  Well except for my pictures.  I don't think that this one photographed as nicely as I would have liked.  The formula is amazing and is opaque in two coats.

I love this collection!  I think the colours are perfect for the cooler months and the formulas are awesome.  My absolute favourites would have to be Turn On The Northern Lights, One Heckla Of A Color!, Check Out The Old Geysirs and Less Is Norse.  There are definitely others I could add to my favourites list but these are definitely my most loved!  Have you grabbed any of the polishes from this collection?

The OPI Iceland Collection is available now from David Jones, Myer and selected salons nationally.
