The Digit-al Dozen Does December: Day Two Neon Christmas Trees

Seriously I am on the best roll of nail fails at the moment.  Ahhh!  Hopefully it passes soon and then I have a roll of awesome nail art.  That being said I actually really like today's mani.  It is absolutely nothing like what I first set out to do (I was meant to do ornaments but I couldn't get the image to pick up and transfer nicely).  Christmas manis just aren't really working out for me, so maybe I need to switch back to regular manis?  Maybe that's the trick.

If you didn't know, Christmas for me is in Summer.  Yes, it may seem strange to most and to be honest it is a little strange for us seems a lot of Christmas things are Winter themed.  I do enjoy that Christmas Day is usually sunny so you can be outside.  Melbourne seems to have skipped over Spring so who knows what is going to happen with Summer/Christmas.  I'm just hoping that we have decent weather as well are thinking of doing a BBQ on Christmas Day.  Anyway, I am completely rambling aren't I?  Sorry.  Anyway, what happens when you cross Christmas with Summer?  Well neon Christmas Trees of course!  For my base I used OPI Alpine Snow, I stamped used Powder Perfect's Black Stamping Polish and then filled in the trees using all seven polishes from Color Club's Pop Wash Collection.  You can see my swatches and review of this collection here if you are interested.  Stamping design is from Uberchic Christmas 1 stamping plate.

Right, now to start thinking about what to do for my next mani.  Maybe I'll just have to see what the other Digit-al Dozen girls have done and copy....

  1. Your nails remind me of christmas sugar cookies! Also - you gave me a great idea! My family is traveling to my area for Christmas (we are warm) and BBQ'ing may be a great option & different for them. :)

  4. Love this neon Christmas mani and this image is gorgeous! I hope the weather is glorious for you so you can enjoy some alfresco dinning on Christmas Day. I honestly would love a snowy day, fingers crossed I get my wish too.

    1. Thanks Vicky. Yes a snowy Christmas would be amazing. We were in London last year for Christmas and I was so hoping for some snow, but nothing. This year they are forecasting 26c and sunny which is perfect weather if you ask me. Fingers crossed they don't change their minds.

  5. These are so much fun!! I grew up having white Christmases, but I think it'd be fun to experience one in the sunshine like you're having!

    1. Thanks Marisa. I would love to have a white Christmas! In fact, I really just want to go to the snow. It doesn't even have to be at Christmas time. Lol. Our Christmas Day was stinking hot here. I think it reached 40c. I hope you had a great Christmas this year :)
