March 2019 Favourties

The end of March has seriously popped up really quick!  I have been so busy thinking that it is nearly school holiday time for my daughter that the end of the month nearly slipped by.  Luckily, I realised in time to get my favourites post done.  Woohoo!  So with that said, let's take a look at all of the things that I have loved in this last month.

Nail Art
I was on such a good role with nail art in February and I was really hoping that it would continue into March.   Looking back on this last month, nail art didn't really happen too much.  Although, nails kinda took a back seat again this month.  It has been a really busy month!  Anyway, these are my favourite manis from March.

Stamping Plates
This month I have been shopping from my own collection.  I have so many things in my collection that I haven't used and its definitely been fun to discover (or rediscover) some old/new favourites.  With that being said, I am going to skip over adding things that aren't new releases to my favourites posts.  Yep - I'm being super tough when it comes to narrowing down my favourites.  Go me!

Uberchic Beauty Cultural Harmony
This plate is a new release plate and I love it!  There are so many great images on here that make for some amazing manis.  I am excited to play with it some more.

Mainstream Polishes
Aside from digging out some older polishes, I have only tried two mainstream collections this month - China Glaze's The Arrangement and Color Club's Whatever Forever.  Honestly, the CG collection confused me because it really isn't a "spring" collection.  There are some great colours in there but if I am being tough I can't say any of them really scream favourite to me.

Color Club Whatever Forever Collection
The Whatever Forever Collection is an instant favourite of mine.  The colours are amazing (and definitely very me) and the formulas across the collection are really good.

Indie Polishes
My two favourite indie brands have released some really amazing polishes this month.

Emily de Molly March 2019 Releases
I raved about this collection in my original post and I will continue to rave about them again and again.  Hayley is honestly killing it with her releases!

Grace-full Nail Polish Magic Of Hogwarts
This polish is everything!  It was limited edition and I am extremely happy to have it in my collection.  It's so shifty and just amazing.

That brings me to the end of this month's favourites.  It's definitely a lot shorter than I was expecting it to be but I have cut out anything that isn't new (so all of my untrieds) which makes up a lot of the things I have posted this month.

Color Club Whatever Forever Collection - Swatches & Review

Every now and again there is a new collection promo that pops up that automatically has to go on my needs list.  That is exactly what happened when I saw the new Color Club Whatever Forever Collection.  I stalked my usual places that I purchase Color Club from however no one seemed to have them (although they do now) but luckily for me Color Club had a 40% off sale AND they now ship internationally so I grabbed them.  Side note: Color Club have a great customer service.  One of the polishes leaked in transit and they have sent me a replacement.  It should arrive today.  Woohoo!  That being said I did swatch the leaked polish but I am not 100% sure if the formula has changed or not.  Right, let's get into the swatches.

To save me repeating myself throughout this post I absolutely LOVE all of these polishes!  They do freak my camera out with how bright a lot of these are which also makes my skin tone look a lot darker (it also made me look more tanned in person too - perfect for summer!).  The formulas across the collection are great and don't require any undies.  Woohoo!  OK swatches!

Anything But Basic is a neon pastel green creme.  The formula of this one is fantastic.  It applies evenly and is opaque in two coats.

Can You Not? is a bright purple creme.  This one also applies evenly, however it is a tiny bit sheer at the tips (but I am super fussy with these things) after two coats.  That being said, I wore this with two coats.

First Class Sass is a bright pastel orange/leaning coral creme.  This one does apply a little unevenly on the first coat and needed three coats to even out, which is what I used for my swatch.

Get It, Girl!  is a neon pink creme with a slight orange tone.  Now depending on your screen settings this swatch may not be 100% accurate.  I found that depending on which screen I look on it looked more pink than what it does in person.  No matter what - it's a gorgeous colour!  It does apply a little patchy on the first coat however evens out perfectly on the second coat.

Get Lost is a pastel blue creme.  I really feel like this one doesn't belong in this collection.  Every other polish seems to have a brightness to them, except for this one.  It's just a straight pastel.  Still really pretty though.  The formula is a little uneven but builds up in two coats.  I used two coats for my swatch but do question if I should have done a third coat.

Girl Gang is a bright pink toned purple (or maybe it's a purple toned pink).  I am obsessed with this colour!  The formula is fantastic and applies evenly.  My swatch shows two coats.

I'm Outta Here is a bright aqua creme.  This is one of those polishes that it depends on your screen whether this one is 100% accurate or not.  It is gorgeous!  The formula is great and is opaque in two coats.

It's All In The Attitude is a neon green creme.  My camera definitely freaked out with how bright this one is so the colour isn't 100% accurate.  The formula is great, it applies evenly and is opaque in two coats.

Like A Boss is a bright pastel yellow creme.  The formula surprised me on this one.  I was expecting it to be a patchy mess.  But it's fantastic!  It applies evenly and is opaque in two coats.

Take A Chill Pill is a bright blue creme.  This has by far the best formula of the collection.  It's super close to being a one coater!  My swatch shows two coats.

Talk To The Hand is a neon orange creme.  This one is only slight patchy on the first coat but evens out perfectly on the second coat.

Totally Worth It is a bright dusty pink.  Now this is the polish that leaked so I am not 100% sure if the formula has changed at all or not.  With that said, this polish seems to have a slight jelly formula to it.  It applied streaky on the first coat and needed three coats to even out.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS COLLECTION!!!  The colours are all amazing and I will definitely be wearing them a lot - both as full manis as well as in nail art.  I am obsessed!  Now I have started working on some comparisons with these polishes but if there are any specific comparisons you want to see then let me know and I will try and do them.

What do you think of this collection?  Are you just as obsessed as me?

Uberchic Beauty Cultural Harmony Stamping Plate - Swatches & Review

Today I have another new stamping plate from Uberchic Beauty - Cultural Harmony.  This plate joins the Cultural stamping plate family - Cultural Rich and Culture Rhythm - and I couldn't be happier.  I am a huge fan of both of those plates and Cultural Harmony joins the list of plates that I love.  There are so many great images and they make for some really awesome manis.

Image from Uberchic Beauty
As soon as I saw the promo image for this plate I knew I had to have the mani on my nails.  I absolutely LOVE this mani!  I'm not sure if I love the glossy or the matte version best so I'm including both.  For this mani I used China Glaze We Run This Beach, Powder Perfect's Black Stamping Polish and Picture Polish G'day Matte (obviously only for the mattified version).

With a plate like this you really need bold colours.... or maybe I am just loving neon polishes and am just making up excuses to break them out more.  For this mani I dry brushed on Color Club's Can You Not and Get It Girl.  This mani looks more washed out in my picture than it did in person.  But that being said I do wish that I used more colour.  This is a mani I may need to revisit in the future.

I am a HUGE fan of this plate.  The images all look so good (I'm definitely keen to play with more of them) and they stamp beautifully.  Zero complaints from me.  I think if you like the other two cultural stamping plates then you will definitely like this one too.

The Cultural Harmony Stamping Plate is available now from Uberchic Beauty.

Emily de Molly March 2019 Releases - Swatches & Review

I'm sure I have said this before (and I most definitely will be saying it again) but Emily de Molly are absolutely killing it this year with their releases!  And I mean KILLING it!  There are so many amazing polishes again this month, plus the rest of the releases from this year...do you know what that means?  It means that come December you will find me curled up in a ball surrounded by ALL the EdM's trying to narrow down my favourites.  It also means that there are going to be a lot of empty wallets and gorgeous polishes being added to everyone's collection.  Yay for pretty polishes!  I should stop just saying how amazing these polishes are and just show you.

Another Icon is a purple base filled with silver holographic micro glitters and orange/gold/green iridescent flakes.  I love this one!  The colour is gorgeous and it is soooo sparkly.  I also really love the glitter and flakie combination.  The formula is easy to use and is opaque in three coats.

Draft Copy is a steel blue base with pink/gold/green/blue aurora shimmer and silver holographic micro glitters.  I think anything with aurora shimmer in it automatically becomes a favourite of mine.  I am addicted to it!  This polish is amazing and so shifty.  I can't fault it!  The formula is fantastic and applies evenly.  My swatch shows two coats.

Goddess Of Rays is a bright golden orange/green/blue multichrome.  This is another love of mine.  It is such a cool polish.  It's super shifty, the colours are gorgeous and it just glows! The formula is a little on the sheer side on the first coat but builds up nicely on the second coat (which is where most people will stop).  I did use three coats for my swatch.

Gravity Drive is a plum dark brown base with gold holographic micro glitters.  This one is so pretty and the formula is easy to use and applies evenly.  I used two coats for my swatch.

Limerick is a pale grey base with purple to gold shifting foil shimmer.  Does it really need to be said that I love this one too?  It really shouldn't come as any surprise.  The colours are beautiful and shifts nicely.  You can see the shift better in person than you can in my pictures.  The formula is good, however it is a tiny bit sheer for my personal taste so I used three coats for my swatch.  You could easily stop at two coats.

Near And Far is a green/blue/purple/pink multichrome.  Love, love, LOVE this one!  It's so shifty, and the colours are amazing.  Now for some strange reason I don't have any notes on the formula of this one.  Just a bunch of hearts.  I'm going to say that the formula is great and applies evenly.  I am not 100% sure if I used two or three coats for this one though.  I have a feeling that it may have been only two coats.

One More Reason is a light turquoise green base with pink/gold/green aurora shimmer.  Aurora shimmer = instant love!  This polish is amazing.  The colour, the shimmer, the formula...what more can I say?  My swatch shows three coats, however you can stop at two coats.

Phoenix Flight is a pink/gold/green magnetic micro flake topper with iridescent blue flakes.  Loooove this one!  Now I was a little silly when swatching this one.  Hayley did tell me that it was a topper but I completely forgot so I used it without a base (next time I would definitely use it over black.  That would be even more AMAZING!).  With all that said you can wear it alone.  It does build up in three coats (although it is a little see through at the tips in direct light).  The formula is easy to use and the colours and flakes are amazing!

Right Behind You is a dark green holographic with a subtle copper to green multichrome shimmer and silver holographic micro glitters.  I quite like the colour of this one and the formula is easy to use and applies evenly.  My swatch shows two coats.

I told you this was an awesome release didn't I?  So many amazing polishes.  Basically my least favourites (because that is going to be easier than basically listing all of the polishes) are Gravity Drive and Right Behind You.  But that being said I really like both of those polishes.  I just love the others more!

The March releases will be available on Wednesday 27th March at 10am AEDT from Emily de Molly's Australian site and on Tuesday 26th March at 7pm EDT on the international site.
